Huge task ahead for SL now. NZ have played great cricket all 4 days. Southee, Taylor, Boult and Williamson especially. Clearly the better team this Test and throughly deserve a historic victory for their efforts. Wickets of Sanga and MJ late in the day were massive blows. Only Samaraweera and Matthews stand in their way now. SL might need to fly in Faf du Plessis to save this one.

This Test has been a very entertaining and a hard fought game of Test cricket. I think ppl wrote off NZ too soon and didn't give them a chance. And now they are about to make some history.

SLN still rely very heavily on Sanga and Mahela and I must say I'm surprised that Chandimal isn't a part of their test line up. Their practice of culling test matches these days for ODI's and T20's isn't going to help their cause in the long term either.

Yup the future isn't looking good for SL unfortunately. NZ though looks to be on the way up. They just need to find some consistency from their batsmen. Bowling looks very promising.

Completely agree with you bro. But what to do. SLC are a bunch of greedy morons and it's run by a government filled with the same kind of ppl. No respite in sight unless ICC jumps in and enforces anti-corruption and gets tough on political interference. I don't see that happening any time soon.

I don't think that's a fair assessment tbh. NZ just played some great cricket throughout all 4 days. On the first day MJ did let NZ off the hook with nonsensical field placements but apart from that NZ have had to earn every bit of it.
