Mendis, Malinga, Roach, Ashwin ect ect were all thought of as star bowlers for a good start to their careers and they are now all average. Not saying it was justified or not, but some of them were seen as future greats and some of them are not even on their respective teams anymore.

No team had chased 275 either. I don't put too much into these stats. How many matches have been played here, what's the pitch like, which teams are playing, what are the circumstances. I would say it should be a good chase because of the wicket but with Pakistan I am still always weary.

Malinga was once thought of to be the face of fast bowling, and now is is average-above average. I said players who were thought of as real stars of the game, of which Malinga is not. His action is what he really had going for him, along with his pace, but the action has been figured out and the pace has steadily deteriorated.

I would be ok with trying it, but I would also be ok with not trying this tactic today. Ahmed and Sharjeel are also both aggressive batsman, but much better than Afridi. I would rather try to be aggressive with our current lineup as is.

It is our averages that worry me, not the strike rate.
