Looks like the mathematicians in SL and cricinfo are as bad as our batsmen. Who said the projected score was 160? Must be a very generous mistake.

our batting is good on flat tracks. this pitch had a lot of juice early on. it was a wrong decision to bat first. whether u accept it or not i was right. i am the real expert, the chosen one :afridi:
 
SL is the worst place for cricket. It's always raining and the crowd is annoying as hell with their vuvuzelas.
 
Series Conclusion: If it weren't for Maqsood and Fawad in the first ODI, we would have been 3-0 down and hence whitewashed on absolutely phatta tracks with the most embarrassing tour in recent years!
 
Players duas at the mosque are answered it seems

I wished they had prayed for good performance rather than save them from shame by rain.
 
Sharjeel Misbah and Afridi need to be dropped. Fakhar Zaman, Haris Sohail and Zafar Gohar need to be inserted into the ODI team. The only change likely for the next ODI series is Sharjeel being dropped. However I am confident that change will occur after the 2015 World Cup
 
dhamika prasad has been really troubling the Pakistan batsmen.
 
and our new pcb chairman announced that this crap captain will lead us till WC 2015. no thanks id rather boycott WC then watch his crap defensive captaincy

Actually I would like Shoaib Malik to play the WC. This will be his last one. It will be nice to see him as the captain defeating India.

Unki Larki bhi utha kar laya aur WC Mein bhi unki bajaa di.

Sania will be proud too.

If we bring anyone old it should be Sarfraz, no because of talent but because of how he plays work confidence.

Pak's problems are bigger than runs, wickets, etc.

Their players look scared and lethargic. A fresh approach is needed. Kudos to Misbah for everything he has given us but we need a fresh approach.

This tour has been embarrassing for all Pak fans. The players just look inferior to Sri Lanka in all departments - a team who people thought were going down the Bangladesh road only a year ago.

We should forget this tour and look at the upcoming series. When is the Australian series?

Provided that the chairman sticks around for next couple of months let alone the WorldCup as we have already witnessed in the past few months, I foresee a new Captain after Australia Series!
 
To the small-minded fans who think this is Misbah vs the world, its not.

The guy is 40 years old and his captaincy cycle is over. He had a couple of good years as a batsmen/captain but it has come to an end. We have been outclassed by a developing team in conditions which we should be comfortable in. If these aren't worrying signs then what are?
 
these guys are getting bounced out by Thisara Perera, Mitchell Johnson is gonna eat this batting line up for breakfast. We are better off bringing in new talent, at least they will be able to learn from the experience of facing bowlers like Mitch Johnson
 
The worst thing about the last 4 years has been the lack of trust on the RIGHT young players.

We have been prepared to put our trust in Azhar and Shafiq but guys like Maqsood, Alam and Haris have been blamed after a couple of failures.

Talent doesn't just appear, you need to build it. The selection of Younus Khan in this series and the continued selection of garbage players such as Khurram, Sharjeel, Talha, Rahat is mind-boggling.
 
As far as this match goes what has Misbah done?
Is everyone screaming because he chose to bat first or everyone is blaming him for all the batsman getting out instead of the actual batsmen themselves? Like I saw someone say Umar is too young he will learn ...

No sir no. The PCB chairman won't press the panic button.
 
Who cares about the WC? Its a single tournament that comes around every four years and anyone with a bit of luck can progress (i.e. Pak, NZL in 2011 edition)

Focus on rebuilding a new core of players for the future.

2. Azhar (the only place he has in the team)
3. Haris
4. Younus
5. Shafiq/Maqsood/Umar
6. Fawad (c)
7. Sarfraz
8. Wahab
9. Ajmal
10. Junad
11. Irfan/Ehsan/Sadaf/Babar

This should be the test XI for the next series.

I don't agree.
For the last four years we placed our trust on the daft like Hafeez and attempted to groom him for captaincy not realizing how poor and helpless is he?

I mean, even that humiliation by Steyn didnt give us a clue about the total worth of his skill n ability, and we kept dreaming about making him the next captain.

Its not so much about this match but the last year or so in general. His approach as a captain was wonderful in the aftermath of the spot-fixing scandal but now it is cancerous to the team's progress.

Mohammad Hafeez has been an integral part of this team in the past 4 years. He is def. not captaincy material but as an allrounder he has been fantastic.

Good FTB and very reliable spinner.
 
Sangakkara's shameless appeals are truly disgusting. What a pathetic sportsman, this guy is!

"All rounder " whom the captain didnt have guts to move him at # 7?

This "all rounder" was pampared to a point where it was an insult for him to bat beyond # 3.

His total worth is a back-up spinner who would only play if Ajmal is injured, or if the opposition has 4 or more left handed top order batsmen, and that's it !!
