Malik 28 runs from his highest Test score. Test average hovering around 40 too.
 
I think Younis would want Pakistan to have a lead of 500 by lunch and then declare hopefully we can score faster in this session.

Malik is playing a magnificent innings and i can't afford to miss that ...

he has literally put his body on the line to SAVE PAKISTAN....

I think he'll look at about 450-475.

Ideally I'd want about 20 mins at the Lankans before lunch.

shhhhhhh....Malik is the legend in making...

i have no doubt by the end of his career, he will have more runs, 100 than SRT..
 
Umar Gul won't know what is going on, he will be bowling on a reasonable pitch with runs on the board. :D

Will be interesting to see how the Pakistan bowlers go, they will be expected to claim the victory for Pakistan. Usually they are not under so much pressure because the batting fails so much.

For those Aamer watchers (cos I haven't seen any of this series) how has he been bowling?

I know Ali888 will tell us he is bowling 155kph and all that but how is he looking? Sri Lankan pitches are hard work for a young quick.
 
even the Sl are bored to death...

they are missing simple chances...

they are like what the heck....

in about 8 overs, there are 2 dropped catches and an easy stumping....


this match must be boring..

Aamir has been mid 130's mostly but he has clearly shown that he has the ability to move the ball both ways. He has been unlucky due to the dropped catches off his bowling but he seems to struggle a bit with the older ball.

Aamer's bowled very well. Hit the pitch hard, has been aggressive in every spell and troubled all batsmen. On these slowish pitches he hasn't tried to crank it up, instead has been bowling in the late 130's, early 140's.

His stats would look a lot better if a number of edges he's found had been held. Younis has used him very well too, in short 4-6 over spells.

He's coming along quite nicely.

yup......and i like your temperament when people were writing against u on this thread u just kept ur head cool :14: ........u should coach the Pakistan team if not for anything else then for keep their head cool under pressure..... :)

honestly bro, love test cricket but if you are not being tested neither bowling or batting than why not watch some odi or t20 coz that is what happen ...one sided stuff...test cricket is suppose to be testing your skills....

anyway credit to Malik...he played the best inning by a pakistani...he saved pakistan from total humilation...
 
should be fun now...

My Fav bat DK in now...

i love his little tap on the pitch every now and then ....such a stylish batsmen...just look at that left.......

Really looking forward to seeing him bowl live at the MCG this summer.

If Asif can come back Pakistan will be fielding a world class bowling attack.
 
Pakistan plz declare now..........................plz.............plz at least not get all out once in this series.....plz dont face three more deliveries......
 
About 7 overs left before lunch. I'd like at least a couple of overs at the Lankans before lunch.

Either that, or we bat till lunch, haul the Lankans back onto the field for another half hour after lunch, and then declare.

Of course we could be bowled out well before that.

just look at the way UG and DK are playing...no trouble what so ever...

A bowling attack of Asif, Gul, Aamir, and Ajmal would really test Australians hopefully our batting can hold up.

If Aus has any sense they will pick any mediocre left arm spinners and he will run through our batting.
 
Pak should bat through tea time on the 5th day. This is the only way to punish SL :D

Yes, on paper it'll look excellent. In reality, none of them (bar a very different Asif) have experience of bowling on Aussie pitches (Gul's t-20 spell doesn't count). Hence it won't be easy for them at first.

The pitches should suit Asif's length though. He pitches it a little fuller which I believe is the way to go in Australia. Gully, however, may come in for a bit of tap. It'll be a great experience for Aamer as well.

Maybe Gul will beat him ..his has face 39 and score 29 runs....

but credit to Malik..he played some inning...the best from a Pakistani..
