Need to keep the new batsman on 0 as long as possible. This a pretty good chokehold being applied so far.

Misbah is a pathetic captain tactically. Doesn't know when to attack or defend.

Ball flies over slip cordon, ramiz and the rest of the amateur critics talk about a third slip

Rahat Ali, looks a bit undercooked. Not enough discipline in the line and length.

Dont see a strong case for it. Other than the usual shallow 'aggressive captaincy' mantra.

Well it's pretty obvious you have trouble understanding basics of cricket. Thirimanne was struggling to get bat on ball, start of his innings, pressure building every ball which 99% of the time results in release shots and they usually are edges. Misbah also should've brought in the long on and his first single would've been stopped as well. There are certain times in cricket where you have to take the risk and ask the batsmen to go for boundaries when they're having trouble taking singles. Keep building the pressure and they would've got his wicket.

No. I just follow cricket by watching what's happening on the field. The nonsense above is for folks who haven't played the game, and like to use words aggressive, proactive a lot.

Ramiz, shoveling more of his aggressive mantra rubbish about the batsmans dismissal

lol it's pretty clear you've no idea what you're talking about and are not a student of the game.

Shafiq showing great technique in that stop there. Almost injured himself.

I just told you what Misbah should've done. Are you retarded or just stubborn?

It doesn't matter what you think he should have done. Because you have this Forrest Gump type wisdom 'close fielders will produce wickets' which is the kind of sky is blue logic that has nothing to do with this test match.
So yes, #aggreseive

I believe ramiz has a big issue with the mid on fielder because you know #aggressive.

I didn't say just simply bring in close fielders. There are specific time periods in a batsman's innings where if he's getting bogged down, you should cut off the singles and entice him to go for boundaries. It doesn't mean you bring every single fielder in, you only need 2-3 fielders in catching spots where the batsman likes to play his shots.

I think Yasir's fear is hovring on sl's batsman . Thats why they are trying to hit him out and giving their wickets away

Happiness is when u go for Friday prayers with 2 out and then come back to see 2 more out! Ha ha :P

Good move by bringing in Azhar Ali! Finally!! His bowling must be developed! Could be very handy! And can take over Hafeez's role in the future!

Agree that he should develop his bowling more. But unfortunately, with Azhar being a legspinner, I don't think he'll ever be able to take over Hafeez's role, which was to keep things tight and build pressure by drying up the runs.

Poor effort from Younis Khan, You'd expect a better effort from a veteran

Younis being a veteran specialist knows exactly where to stand. Its the batsman's fault not playing it correctly into his hands.

Good session for us, taken a few wickets and SL not scoring freely. Jehan Mubarak not looking convincing at the crease.

Games well balanced at moment, we need atleast 3/4 wickets in final session to feel like we are on top at the end of days play.

The field placements at certain instances in this match have been brilliant by misbah.

If SL are 7 down for 230 it would be a good day for Pak.
