Afridi should take himself off now. He's needed near the end with the way he's bowling.

Really outstanding stuff from our spinners so far. Afridi, Hafeez, Rehman now. Just superb. We're seeing why I was thinking that spin was very important in this WC. Suits spinners more than quicker bowlers.

Cha gaye mana bhai, he's doling out runs as if they'd be deducted from his pay check.

Sri Lanka 116/4 (29.0 ov)

Sri Lanka require another 162 runs with 6 wickets and 21.0 overs remaining

Sri Lanka RR 4.00
Last 5 ovs 10/0 RR 2.00
Required RR 7.71

Excellent bowling from Rehman, maiden over there.Sanga's the man to get out.

Pakistan need to keep drying up the runs and try and take another wicket here!

Cricinfo backing Pakistan. More than any other team:

Nitin Sundar: Somehow, Pakistan seem the most complete team in this World Cup. Here's why:

Nitin Sundar: India have a weak bowling attack. Sri Lanka have a dodgy lower middle order. Australia have an out-of-form middle order. South Africa are pinning their hopes on a new spinners, and their middle order looks thin. England just seem Ashes-weary. Pakistan is the only side ticking all these boxes.

Nitin Sundar: They have a couple of resourceful openers and an aggressive keeper-batsman at 3. Then they have two super-stable batsmen at 4 and 5. And then three of the maddest hitters in the game at 6, 7 and 8. They have three really good fast bowlers, and a potent set of spinners.

Chamara silva u legend ur father of misbahs strike rate

I am becoming a fan of Silva. He is showing great composure. 6 off 31. keep up the good work

silva is pulling of a pakistani chasing strategy of old. eating balls up and not scoring,

our bowlers are onto it in a hurry :)

Chamara struggling horribly.

Get him out and get Matthews in.

Direct hit and Sanga would have been gone there !

What a reaction by Umar Akmal :)))

hey guy i was playing with the hawk eye feature on cricinfo. and there i looked up bowl speeds. they say that th 3rd ball of the 20th over (20.3) by akhter, one after Mehela's out, was a 98.8 MPH... is this true?

We have a very balanced team, but we lack those top class batsmen who average 40 and over like some of the stronger teams. I thought we lacked a bit in the spin department too, but Afridi and Rehman are doing very well, better than the Sri Lankan spinners :D
