Our test side looks rather stable. Good keeping, decent batting. Just need to strengthen the bowling now and maybe tighten a few screws here and there (e.g Hafeez, Junaid).

All in all. Things are looking good.

True, although there have been many false dawns. This is what Pakistan cricket does - its a rollercoaster ride with moments where things are on the up, a bright future is ahead and other times when there's despair.

Amir is also to come back. Hafeez is good in Asia but don't want him facing quality new ball bowlers. Shehzad must improve footwork, he bats as if he's got 10 pounds of lead in his boots.

We must also identify long-term replacements for Younis and Misbah who aren't getting any younger. But we have the most settled Test team that I can remember for years.
