another hundred in a very very important scenario. Azhar has certainly the nerves of steel.
 
Even for test standard that strike rate below 40 is s little too slow. Could be the difference between a draw and forcing a result. I hope Sarfraz plays one of his blitzkrieg knocks to put SL on the backfoot.
 
I felt like sleeping after watching Azhar Ali's innings, Sri Lankan players must be feeling the same.
 
Pakistan has chosen the wrong mindset today. Not scoring and just anchoring down. Sri Lankans have got the opportunity to be all over them as a result.

Pakistan has to aim for a 200 lead and the only way to do it is to look for scoring opportunities.
 
AA can give good run for his money even to the boredum legend Kallis, what you guys think who would winning most boring batting award? Azhar or Kallis?

They have to do both, look for scoring opportunities and bat the day out.
 
AA should look to push his foot on accelerator (doubt he has one) and look to score some runs here to extend the lead otherwise his temperament won't mean much.

Azhar uncle by huge margin. I might need a therapy after I am done watching his innings.

Too much time left in the game - consuming overs should be a secondary concern to scoring runs. Sri Lanka made that mistake last game and ended up handing the game. Score a few and back Yasir Shah :)
 
I think I might have spent half my life watching Azhar Ali bat.
 
Waqar and Mushy not looking happy. We have been a touch too defensive. Need some quick runs, anything less than 250 minus Wahab will be hard to defend.

Omg, Azhar Ali just blocked 5 balls. He is probably playing for his 150.
 
I wonder what everyone will say about Azhars innings if we win the match.

AA by far, He's just on another level when it comes to boredom and torture, No one come even close to him, He's on another planet!

You must be new to test cricket then. His overall strike rate is higher than Azhar Ali and he doesn't used to play on flat wickets like Azhar does. If Azhar was in England or South Africa then this kind of innings would have been acceptable. Right now he is just waiting their to get out and putting pressure on himself.

AA each and every innings should be recorded in tapes, then used in prisons to torture inmates at the time of distress!
 
We need a partnership and we need to bat out the day to get Sri Lanka in on a day 5 pitch against Shah - hilarious how people are mad at Azhar for his slow and steady method. If he does what they ask and looks to score quickly and gets out, the same people will be the first ones to blame him for the irresponsible and unnecessary shot. Azhar looks solid, just needs partners on the other end.
 
Misbah must retire, one of Hafeez and Shehzad needs to be dropped. Zunaid should be kicked out from any format. We can not win a test match with 2-3 bowlers. Too much pressure for Yasir.
 
This is ridiculous. Pakistan should be looking to win this match but this ultra defensiveness from Azhar will cost Pakistan massively. Blocked an entire over. :facepalm:
 
Donald Prasad has been the tormentor in chief. Sarfi generally struggles against fast bowlers.
 
Shafiq wicket was the turning point of the match and now this :facepalm:

This was bound to happen. The foolish plan to bat out the day without scoring at a good rate will not succeed.
 
Azhar should have been a little positive but still played really well.
