30 overs to go...score 3 runs per over to add 90 more to the lead to take it to 200 without any wcckets loss...I'll take that...

SL have given up on pushing for anything other than a draw.

Eager to see if Shafiq has improved against the swinging ball. Will get to see it in S.Africa :)

Pakistan need to be 200 ahead by close of play. Also if there are 98 overs left on day 5 then maybe at most bat for 10-12 overs tomorrow and try and get a quick 50-60 runs.

If we have to lose defending 250 so be it! better to lose 2-0 trying to level series at 1-1

118 ahead and 27 overs left. We need to score at 3 an over here and of bad light is offered we need to stay out there late in the day.

Lots of Praise for Azhar I must confess I was not his biggest fan when he came to the scene but he is turning into something very good news for Pakistan after long long time.

I don't think umpires offer bad light anymore to the batsman. They take the decision themslves, no?

SL dont seem to have any intention of trying to take any wickets to win here. They just seem happy waiting for mistakes.

I guess negative attitude comes due to fact they havent won a series for ages

If the umpires make the decision they should be doing whats best for the game and a positive result.

This is like the 99th time they've shown that chick. Talk about desperados!

I hope for a lot of over night rain to freshen up the pitch...so that tomorrow Junaid and Younis could bowl us to victory:113:

Sri Lanka aren't going negative. They've brought on a part timer to maybe get a breakthrough from it.

The best thing would be for Pakistan to go for quick runs here and get all out by stumps after getting another 100 odd here.

"Among Pakistan batsmen with 1500 Test runs, Azhar Ali has the second-best rate of innings per fifty-plus scores (2.58). Only Saeed Anwar has a rate better than Azhar's (2.52)."

Interesting. I thought Inzi would have that record.

:azhar looks likely to the first pakistani to get to 10 000 runs in test matches if he gets to play 10 Test Matches every year.
