Smith inside edge being given as lbw
Misbahs bat pad being given as a ball edge

I hope the decision wasnt given by 1 same umpire

Is it Aleem Dar making these decisions? I've noticed his quality has dropped.. especially after he gave into pressure by Yasir and co and gave Morgan out in that very low scoring and amusing game.

The umpiring in today's match between Islamabad and Lahore has been terrible.

Schoolboy errors from the umpires. In yesterday's match they even lost count of the number of deliveries in an over which caused confusion amongst the players.

Really, are these the best umpires in Pakistan.

These umpires look like they're guessing half the time. They'd give Billy Doctrove, Ashoka de Silva and Steve Bucknor a run for their money in terms of incompetence.

They should introduce DRS in PSL.

Not sure about last night's game as I didn't watch, but a lot of the umpires in the PSL have been international umpires

Haven't umpires in PSL referred too many apparently straight runout calls to tv umpire?

Either one believes the overall standard of umpiring in PSL to have been good or bad, but I can't help but notice how ground umpires have referred almost all runout appeals to tv umpires, even on instances that seemed straightforward even to me watching on television broadcast to be a clearcut out or notout but the decisions got referred.
In fact as much as my memory serves me, I can not recall even one instance where a referral was not made and the onfield umpires made the decision by themselves.
Is there a new rule that all run out appeals will automatically get referred to the third umpire? Or Otherwise, why are the umpires reluctant to take seemingly uncomplicated and straight calls on their own?
Or is it just to promote Qatar Airways commercial on big screen that comes up when the decision is pending?

This is definitely one of the areas that the PSL needs to look at improving.

Billy and Ashocker were terrible but Bucknor was very good for long periods of his career.

The Bopara LBW decision yesterday was a shocker. It was very obvious that he was hit outside the line of the off-stump. Ridiculous to see an umpire make such an elementary error.

In addition, it is also annoying how the Square Leg Umpire has to refer a run out appeal almost every single team, even though the batsmen is well inside.
