Kohli is the worst of 4 by country mile.
Joe Root.
Root will lead England to WC victory if he is given the role over the Irish man who isn't even a British born, he was born in Dublin not Northern Ireland! Morgan should go back to help Ireland now that they have test status.
I agree Smith is better than Kane and Kohli from what we've seen so far. Too early to make a comparison between Smith and Root just yet. And LOL at Kane having a good side, he has the weak side of the lot and has to carry the battingSteven Smith right now.
None of them have special captaincy potential but are great players with good teams so the hype.
Btw surprised to see so many people rating Kohli who isnt any special as captain and should not be India's captain.
)Now I would put Smith over KW.The other two remain the same.Williamson
Smith
Kohli
Root(because of less experience)
In that order.

Root has Cook, Mooen, Stokes and Bairstow.
Smith has Warner, Khawaja (good in Aus) and Renshaw.
Kane has nobody, Taylor is past it and the others are too unreliable.
Smith - Average
Root - Below average
Williamson - Below average
Kohli - Shouldn't even be captain.
They're all really average tbh.
Faf and Morgan are better captains.
Kohli is a horrible leader.Smith and Kohli are the best leaders. None standout tactically.
Kohli is a horrible leader.
He's having a meltdown 2 Tests into his first true away test.
What meltdown? He just wears his heart on his sleeve. His team already knows that. They've all played inspiring cricket under him. You can see the way they've competed. All of them believe they can win away from home. That's good leadership to me. What the media and fans think don't matter.
Agree. Root for test cricket and buttler for limited oversButtler will be England's next limited overs captain.
Steve Smith is the best captain by far. He's been able to lead his team to an ashes victory and seems to be in a purple patch in regards to his batting. He doesnt seem to be burdened with captaincy like some captains (sarfaraz). A true leader of men who should hopefully stay captain for as long as possible.
Williamson is exactly the time of player that most teams would want to have in their teams. Has nerves of steel and consistency levels is second to none. A true gentleman of the game. Uses his bowlers effectively in the death and leads his team with grace.
Root is a great player in his own right but after the Ashes loss, he will have lost some fans. Root not playing Mark wood is one life's greatest myths as his extra pace could've been very useful. Winning a couple of ashes games could have done wonders to his legacy. As for ODI's, Morgan is a much better and developed captain and he should continue captaining England in that format for the foreseeable future.
Kohli has also largely been in an amazing since captaincy debut form but imo he isnt fit to lead india in the long run. 2 overseas tests and he couldnt control his emotions with the press and decided to burst out. A full calendar year of overseas tests awaits and only time will tell how many pangas he will have with the press down the line. Not all great players are destined to be good leaders, so no shame if his captaincy is stripped away at the end of the year. The leader of the team with a billion fans should be tolerant and patient, and he is anything but.
1)Smith
2)Williamson
3)Root
4)Kohli
Smith
Williamson
Kohli
Root
Smith is the best of the four because his batting has continued to be in the dream run even after taking the tough role of captaining an Australian side. Yes, he is nowhere near a tactician as Michael Clarke or Faf du Plessis are but he hasn't been tactically inept either.
Root has the worst start of the four but then captaincy is something which comes with experience and time( which Root has many).
The best test batsmen of the four is the one who is the best captain too.
How did I miss this gemI feel like out of the 4, Root is the one who is a natural leader.
Ranking them:
1. Root
2. Kohli
3. Smith
4. Williamson
But Williamson isn't a terrible captain either. None of them are bad captains.
)Williamson and Kohli have impressed me the most.
Kohli is an inspirational figure in the team. But when it comes to tactics he is pretty useless.
An*I agree.
He is massively underrated and is cool as a cucumber.
A inspiring leader.

England have lost control after both lunch breaks so far in this 1st Test vs Pakistan. Is Root to blame?
