S. Jaishankar, Bharat’s External Affairs Minister has been a fan favorite in the last few years ever since he became a prominent figure in our foreign diplomacy.

He has gained admiration from many developing nations and their people on the Internet for highlighting the challenges faced by these countries, especially those related to economic inequality, climate change, and access to global markets.

They seem to love him for providing a platform to countries historically sidelined in global decision-making.

His viral moment came a couple of years ago when he made that famous comment on Europe during a press conference in Slovakia in 2022.

When asked about Bharat’s position on the war, he responded sharply, saying: “Europe has to grow out of the mindset that Europe’s problems are the world’s problems, but the world’s problems are not Europe’s problems.”

That video is full of people commenting from all corners of the world saying this man’s superstar.

Ever since then he’s been on a roll.

Blessed to have him as EAM.

Good luck for your tour of Pakistan, EAM Jaishankar ji

Given the growing infamy surrounding Indian diplomats accused of involvement in the deaths of foreign civilians, it is prudent for every nation to maintain a vigilant watch during their visits.

IK and PTI have openly asked for his help. I guess the Pak establishment is correct in their treatment of PTI.

Separate topic.
You raised the topic of need of vigilance during visits by an Indian minister. Just shared the fact that a major political party of Pakistan sought out his help, and that should be concerning for the Pakistani establishment.
I think its directly on topic about Indian FM's visit to Islamabad.

No need to get upset. Just going by what’s currently in the news, Indian diplomats and officials have been accused of killing foreign citizens.

He used to be a diplomat and I’m sure he is accompanied by other diplomats.

Did you watch some Akshay Kumar movies? :runaway:

The kind of stretched imaginations you are having makes me think that you are binging on some overly Indian patriotic Akshay Kumar movies!
I have no idea what you are trying to imply other not dodging the question.

You can tag me when you are ready to address it.

Welcome to Pakistan Mr. Jaishankar. I hope he has a fruitful stay. Hopefully, he will be treated with utmost respect and hospitality and leave with a positive impression. The vast majority of Pakistanis, both resident and otherwise want peaceful relations with everyone. Unfortunately the rulers dont want/see that and have their own agenda.

Nimisha Priya, an Indian nurse from Kerala, is on death row in Yemen and is scheduled to be executed on July 16

She was convicted of murdering a Yemeni national, Talal Abdo Mahdi. Nimisha moved to Yemen in 2008 to support her parents and worked in several hospitals before opening her own clinic. Yemeni law requires foreign business owners to partner with a local, which led to her association with Mahdi in 2014.

After a fallout with Mahdi, Nimisha filed a complaint against him, resulting in his arrest in 2016. He was later released and allegedly continued to threaten her. Nimisha's family claims she injected Mahdi with sedatives to recover her confiscated passport, but an overdose caused his death. She was arrested while trying to flee Yemen and was convicted of murder in 2018. The death sentence was approved by the Yemeni President last year.

@Rajdeep How can she be saved??

Dont think she should be executed. She was only acting as self defence
many maids from subcontinent and south Asia are mistreated in middle east. Something must have happened for her to react this way.

Yes apparently the guy stolen money, went physical and then confiscated her passport due to which she was unable to go back to India where her family was staying. She even lodged complain to police but without much help. Then again this is just girl's version and we must hear 2 sides of the story.
