Think most knew it was a weakness after the WC. He doesn't control the short ball well. Think he got out like that in the D/N Test in 2016/17 like that last time too, hence they used the same plan this tour.

That is wagner's go to ball against all batsmen anyway.

Deadliest exponent of short ball in this era is a 125 k/hr trundler.

3. Delay his arrival at the crease by at least a day, as he has sleeping problems due to his excessive thinking of the game. However, this would be the worst option as the opening pair and one down bat would have scored excessive amount of runs to prevent smith for coming to the crease.
4. My favourite - mankad him!
5. Get yasir shah to bowl at him(7 times, 7 times!).

Yasir Shah conceded 200 runs each time.. Seeing that 7 gesture after dismissing Smith was one of the dumbest things I have seen on the field. I mean here is your team getting hammered and you yourself are getting slaughtered. And still celebrating that wicket like you are lifting a WC ??

Lmao Yasir conceded a personal 150 against Smith before eventually getting a soft wicket when Smith is looking for quick runs or is tired after a big 100.

You obviously didnt see the last Australia vs Pakistan series a few weeks ago!
Smith failed in that series, hardly scored any runs and yasir bowled him for virtually nothing!

Well in that series Smith was literally just slogging as the Pak bowlers were so **** to the top order. This thread is about how to get Smith out to win test matches isn't it

rabada rendered him ineffective a few times too.

I agree though. what was yasir thinking. lol celebrating the wicket of smith cause he got him out 7 times when his team is getting hammered. In saying that I don't blame him because he got the wicket of one of the best players of all time in smith.

If you think Yasir would have got Smith out, bowled through the gate to a massive slog, if he was coming in at 2-10 in a WTC final, you are an idiot.

This Yasir analysis is about as meaningful as him reversing Joe Root when in the 200's, another surefire way to get him out
