So it all comes to an end now! And a new winner (though Hyderabad has already one in the name of Deccan Charges). So RCB will be geared up for this Super Match.

Who plays for the Royal Bengals and for Hyderabad? Does either team have any famous players?

And where does the game take place? Are the fans from each club given tickets, or just locals? Do IPL teams sell season tickets for their matches?

Who is Royal Bengals? I think its better you focus on Test cricket, T20s is not for you.

I'm trying to learn! What's Royal about Bangalore? I assumed it was a tiger reference.

I hope it's a great game. Any way for those of us in Australia or New Zealand to tune in?

Its mostly to do with the history of Karnataka. Several great Indian empires and dynasties ruled over Karnataka and contributed to its culture and history. Hence the reference royal.

More than SRH's Bowling, Warner's batting is the real worry for RCB. If they can get him out cheaply, RCB can feel almost 50% match is secured! Because SRH don't really have the batsmen in their line up to rescue compared to RCB if Kohli gets out early. If Warner gets a big score only then SRH's bowling becomes handy against RCB batsmen.

Must be living in a jungle. Anyway,

The match is taking place in Bangalore.

Some stars in Bangalore: AB Devillers, Kohli, Gayle, Shane Watson, Chris Jordan.

Hyderabad: Warner, Dhawan, Yuvraj, Williamson, Mustafizur, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Trent Boult.

As an RCB fan, I was praying that SRH don't make it to the final.

This is going to be a tough one. Please get us a trophy, Virat!

Yes especially if Warner gets a decent score (he does it at good strike rate) then SRH's total will be enough for its bowlers to defend RCB batsmen. Chasing even 160 is going to be tough against SRH and don't think posting 200 is going to be easy against their bowlers either. Warner is the key factor between the two teams (more than Kohli in RCB), the key person for RCB is the bowler who picks Warner cheaply (If Aravind could do this he can claim himself better than Dhawan Kulkari of Gujarat)

The best way for RCB is to chase. Because if they bat first and if they crumble against SRH bowlers (as they did even against Gujarat last time), then it will be difficult to come back into the match against SRH.

SRH bowling is extremely overrated. Don't forget RCB scored 226 against SRH in league games. Kohli is very hungry to get a very big score after that duck in the last match. I am sure he will win it for RCB along with ABD.

I agree with pretty much everything you said except the part about 160 being enough against RCB's batting line-up. I'd back them to chase anything upto 180.

My worst fear is that SRH will win the toss and restrict RCB to 160-170 and I simply cannot expect even an improved RCB bowling attack to defend that against Warner and co.

Who are you supporting btw? Followed RCB sincerely ever since the inception of the IPL. Need a trophy now please!

It's royal challenger Bangalore.. Owner is vijay Mallya and royal challenge is one of his brands so he named it like that.. Nothing to do with Bangalore having a royal history or not

He's playing with Junaids lol.

Btw come on SRH!

RCB don't really have too many bowlers who can bowl well against left handers so the SRH batting line up should do fairly well. Then again if if Mustafizur isn't available (and quite possibly if he is) so will RCB's.

Just hope it's a high scoring close match.. Something like srh batting first and scores 200+ with Warner making quick century and then RCB winning it with a last ball thriller.. Something like that would be a dream 😀

After the toss! lol

'If I had known they were going to bat, I wouldn't have come out for the toss' - Virat Kohli

RCB are chasing. So all eyes on Kohli to win the game.

If he fails its Hyderabad winning the tournament.

Want Sunrisers to play well. Love watching Warner and Mustafiz. Like I said. Whoever bowls first will win

seems you don't have a faith in Shikhar Hunting Dhawan. You said he'll score fifty first place :afridi

Seriously though what happened to him? I remember in the recent India tour of Aus and even in the world cup he played great knocks. His off side shots are great to watch but out of the 3 or 4 games Ive seen of his in the IPL, he has looked poor.

Last match I went for drinking water before the start of the innings. When I came back, Moises was batting with Warner.

Actually No. The team is named "Royal Challengers " after "Royal Challenge " a brand of Scotch/Rum owned by the UB/Kingfisher group , which owns the franchise .

Dhwaan can't afford to waste too many balls doesn't want to put pressure on David Warner

His game is well suited for ODIs but he really wasn't all that good in T20s to begin with.

Time for Fizz to shine. Can see him getting Kohli again. Can Kohli - the King of chasing - deliver when it actually matters?

SRH has an excellent start & Mustafiz is playing. However, if any team can chase a big target in a Final it has to be RCB. I think, best 2 teams are in Final & it's going to be a cracker. One of many great things in IPL is that the format is extremely balanced - if hypothetically this tournament is run 5 times at same period, I believe the order of 1 to 8 will be almost same every time for a particular year.

If anything, I would have loved to see a best of 3 Final, like old days WSC.

lol some of you buying that nonsense .

Excellent start by Warner, however Dhawan also needs to cut loose soon.

Good pitch for batting, SR of 115 unacceptable here.

This is the not the first time RCB has looked like they will win easily and like in the past there is every channce they will choke here

Dhawan fails again. All he had to do was stick around and give the strike to Warner.

But their top 5 is better than most International sides, probably every T20 International side. CH Gayle, V Kohli*, AB de Villiers, KL Rahul†, SR Watson, Sachin Baby, STR Binny, - this is outstanding top order; if they can't do it then probably every other team would have failed/choked.

This is gamble of not having a full time keeper. It is good as long as there are no edges and ur batsman scores for u. A drop like that, however (albeit a difficult take) could be the difference between winners and runners up

Warner is more impactful than Kohli. Possibly even more than de Villiers.

What the hell was Kohli doing there?! Nearly decapitated Warner with that throw.

Henriques hasn't scored even 200 runs despite playing 17 consecutive matches

28 from 25 in the PP on a batting heaven isn't too great TBH.

However, it does the job for SRH because Warner is in beast mood.

That's what matters most, partnership! For his credit he did hit some release shot so Warner didn't need to over try attacking!

Having said that I don't think Dhawan was too conservative with his batting. Tried to play shots but just didn't work (or get out quickly).

Henriques is too much of a bits and pieces player. Comes up with useful performances here and there but on the whole does not make enough of an impact. Doesn't deserve to be a regular in the side especially now that there is Cutting in the side. Morgan would have been a better pick today.

Keep calm Ravi, its not as special as youre trying to convey.

Henriques is more impact player than Morgan I think. He has played as a bowler all rounder who failed in batting barring one or two matches.

Different perspective from different people.

I will give him the thumbs up for not getting out early.

True. It sounded very funny to me when he said " it's just the kind of pitch that suits him" LOL. He played for RCB a couple of seasons back and completely failed in all of the matches he played barring one innings.

lol True, if he likes someone then they can do no wrong! Sunny G too, gives so many cringe worthy moments. Remember the wt20 semis with Virat Kohli, ruined the highlights reel.
