Dear friends - Back in the day (may be 10 years ago) I used to be a decent fast bowler (yeah i know it is an oxymoron for an Indian), took a couple of hattricks in college and all. These days I just play occasional leather ball and mostly hard tennis ball. I am working on getting fitter (which is a challenge). My pace has obviously dropped. I rely mostly on cutters and slower balls. I have one question regarding a niggle and I know it is due to my lack of fitness.
When i bowl, after an over or 2, the side of hip starts paining. Could be a muscle pull. If i rest up and try and bowl the next game, it is almost impossible to gather at the popping crease resulting in further reduction in pace.
Any advice what sort of exercise should be done to ensure i dont get that pain on my side?
Thanks in advance
