I don't think we will see any Pakistani batsman joining that list anytime soon. Pakistan doesn't play many tests nowadays, and T20 were not widespread for much of Younis era.

Babar Azam if he can play at least another 80 tests but he will need to average above 50 in the years ahead.

It might be difficult for him to reach 100 tests as tests are a dying breed of cricket.

By country :-

India - 3
Australia - 3
Windies - 2
England - 2
Sri Lanka - 2
South Africa - 1
Pakistan - 1

I thought Kohli already in the 10K runs list. I stand corrected.

Hopefully he gets there for India.

Hopefully more tests are played by all countries. This will defo aid to get to 10k club.

Abdullah shafique maybe. Where is azhar ali at?

10k runs dont matter, what mattter is your form. Many of the players name we see are there only because of seniority and not form.

He might just get to 100 tests. But only just. That too if PCB is interested in tests. Right now they average about 7 or 8. I think the upcoming year is an anomaly in terms of test for PCB.

Unfortunately I am afraid your hope will be just that, hope. Not reality. If the boards were able to sell tests they would be. But they are not.

They are all focusing on their domestic T20 leagues en masse. Even at the cost of international cricket. Not just tests.

Dont know why people complaining about test. We dont even play any odis.

None!!! Our best batsman Babar can reach around 7000-8000 most. Other will finish between 3000-5000.

Babar is looking good to join this club. He already has close to 3,000 Test runs.

Babar Azam has 2851 runs in 40 Tests.

So at this rate he will need to play another 100 Tests to get to 10,000 runs.

Pakistan just don't play enough Test cricket is the harsh reality.

Babar needs to score 7200 runs more and he's already 27 years old. If he plays until 36, he has to score 800 runs a year on average. The highest number of runs Babar has scored in a calendar year is 616 (both 2018 and 2019). Either he has to bat like Steve Smith for the rest of his career, or Pakistan has to start playing as many tests as England.

Babar can make it to 10k runs provided Pakistan plays sufficient number of test matches. Apart from Babar I don't see anyone getting close enough. Hopefully our youngsters like Shafique, Ghulam and Hurraira can live up to the promises.
