He has steadily improved from last year and is clearly Pakistan's go to guy when they need wickets.

Along with Shaheen Shah Afridi, he will form one of the most formidable fast-bowling attacks of the World Cup.

Pak's trump card for this WC. He is going to pickup bucket loads in this WC. Pace and incredible skill.

What an amazing bowler he has become. No more a threat but the real thing and the best part is, he does his work with minimal fuss and media attention.

Love the guy!

The most improved bowler.

Also easily one of our best fielders which is rare. It does concern me sometimes when i see him diving around.

Great work ethic can turn a star into a super star , Rauf is just into his prime & the scary thing is he hasn’t peaked yet

Haris Rauf or Sohail Tanvir? I don’t see any difference between the two - both of them only bowl cutters to batsmen.

All the best T20 bowlers take pace off the ball as a variation you attention deprived imbecile.

Go check Rauf's average speeds as well.

Have you seen the speeds at which Haris bowls?

Sohail Tanvir was a gun T20 bowler. Not sure why you're him and not that English bowler with the tattoo sleeves who was a slower-ball merchant.

Not that you'd be right either way but that is understood.

I don't see any team scoring 180+ against us. Hopefully, the bowlers keep up their good form. Having Shaheen back will improve this side exponentially because right now, our weakest phase is the powerplay.

Haris right now, in the absence of Bumrah is probably the best death bowler at the World Cup. It's truly remarkable how much he has improved in such a short period of time. Even our resident hot-take aficionado can't call him a tape-ball bowler anymore.

Shaheen is the ace, but you need a trump card too who can step-up in tough situations. Definitely see him being that guy for us.

All said, you can't judge bowlers on the beauty of their runups, the smoothness of their actions, their repertoire of deliveries or their hairstyle.

You judge them on what they deliver.

I had given up on Haris Rauf 2 years ago after another death over pasting.

But the thing with him (along with Shadab, Rizwan, Babar, Nawaz) is that he never stopped learning his craft.

Sets him apart from the likes of Wahab, Umar Akmal, Irfan etc who played the same way in their last game as their first - with no upward curve.

Excited about him but World T20 is the ultimate stage he has to show he is top 3.

Definitely has grown as a player, he has slowly moved away from spraying.

Same dose needs to be given to Wasim Jnr.

Not sure why people are more intrigued with what he bowls - as long as he takes wickets and keeps the run rate under control that’s job done.

He can bowl with one step if needed provided the performance matches.

Haris is the best T20 bowler in the world right now.
He always picks up wickets at crucial stages.

He is bowling very fast. He is the fastest in the world right now and those slower balls become so so effective. Change of pace from 150 to 125-130 becomes extremely difficult for the batsmen.

Haris mostly bowls close to 150kph, so not sure what you are on about? Also, what is wrong with bowling cutters, clever bowlers use variations all the time.

If Haris was an Indian bowler, you would be praising him for bowling slower cutters despite having pace. You would say that since he is an Indian cricketers he is clever with his variations rather than being a scatter speedgun like Pakistani fast bowlers.

He is also one of the fittest fast bowlers in world cricket. What an athlete!

Trump Card is Shaheen. Rauf is more like a lottery - he can make us win big, but not consistently.

He is a gun T20 bowler, the best among the bests but what you are saying is unfair to many fast bowlers who bowl quick all day in test matches.

Counterpoint gladly accepted.

Babar Azam: "Haris Rauf knows these conditions well as the MCG is his home ground at the Big Bash League. He's passed on some very useful information to us regarding the conditions here"

No matter how good he is bowling, he can only defend what the Batsman will put up which will be not enough

Happy Birthday Haris Rauf! Best of luck in the semi final!

This guy always gives 100% effort in every second of every match.

You cannot ask for much more than that.
