Good day to all,

It is unfortunate what has been going on amongst South Asian countries recently but now is the time for reflection.

In 1849 we witnessed one of the greatest act of theft committed by the British and a colonial power ever, the theft of the Kohinoor, essentially taken as a looted colonial trophy, and now sits in the “Queen mother’s” crown as a dark reminder of British rule in the subcontinent.

But after the whole Asia Cup drama with the winning team missing out on the biggest prize of Asian cricket, the actual trophy itself, and given the tensions between Pakistan and India leading up to this tournament, was the pain of not being able to hold the actual trophy hurt Indian sentiments as much as the previous artifact that was unfairly taken away from them?

Not gonna lie, even as a Pakistani the Indian team not getting their hands on the actual trophy made me feel uncomfortable.. like when you have to sneeze and brace yourself for it, but then it doesn’t come out and you have this unpleasant feeling. Or you are watching a really good movie that you got through creative avenues, and it cuts off 20 mins before the end and you have to turn the tv off without seeing the resolution to the plot…

Not being able to see a winning team lift the trophy high up in the air with placards etc is the equivalent of a trapped sneeze… the uncomfortable feeling…

That’s how this feels. Especially because this Asia cup trophy felt like it was gold plated with diamonds itself because that’s how much honor was at stake after the War of May.

What is the sentiment in india? Was this the second worst or the worst heist in Indian history when it comes to being robbed off a precious artifact?

🏆 vs 💎 which one speaks to your honor more?

It hurt more with the British since they never really needed Kohinoor. With Naqvi stealing the trophy, atleast there's a realisation that it's helping 250 million Pakistanis find joy in these tough times. It's all good man, best wishes from Bharat <3
