An extension of a debate I was having with a friend...
So to give a bit of background...I live in a country where I earn 3 times the average salary...and in taking some extra work I should be earning 4-5 times as much...
Now i'm under no illusions about the impact this has on my stock partner wise here...
Now the average salary is survival money...so girls are left with three choices:
1 - a guy they like with no money
2 - a guy they like with money
3 - a guy they don't like with lots of money (the oligarchy)
It makes perfect sense to me that two is a legitimate option...and a responsible one...especially for long term dating or settling down...
Money and what it brings is part of the dating experience...whether it be nice restaurants, holidays, private school for future children or gifts...
Others may disagree as my friend does...where he views (2) as buying a woman...is money a legitimate prerequisite for choosing a partner?...and is any different to choosing looks as a prerequisite?...
From my own personal perspective choosing (3) is the shallow choice...while choosing 2 over 1 makes perfect sense...you offer an improvement...
In a country where I can enjoy the finer things and girls can't afford to go halves...I have no problem being judged for the money I have providing that isn't the sole reason...it's sweetening the pot...and thankfully there is enough of (3) to choose from to make that distinction....
But of course some may disagree...
