I apologise for the delay in creating this thread. But as The Maestro sets out to play his final 6 ODIs I think we should celebrate every last performance.

Left out of the opening game, he has set the tournament on fire since.

I will hopefully along with fellow fans share our feelings about his last few innings.

When I have more time I will talk about his performances against Australia, England and India.

For you youngsters, don’t get wrapped in this Kohli, Mumbai jumbo and enjoy these last few weeks, this time will never come again. You can tell your great grandchildren that you were watching when the Maestro lifted the golden globe.

I agree. His 150 at the WACA against a rampaging McGrath and Lee was one for the ages. But not sure whether it matches the 200 in Joburg against Steyn and Morkel.

Thank you for your 20 years of service :malik

Expecting Malik to score against fast bowlerd on English pitches is like asking Sarfraz to say no to Biryani. Impossible. It's pathetic team management who picked him instead of better alternative in Harris.

He will come good. Has always been a back against the wall type player. Does his best under pressure.

The biggest joke is that he has been persisted with so long. He should have retired with respect after the CT. It would have been the best exit he could ever hope for. But no, he chose to exit the game with fans cursing and making fun of him.

Haris is a better alternative for this world cup. I have been his big fan and supporter. But with the size of his Tidd, he should be thrown out as well after the world cup. No compromise now.

Can’t wait to see the Great Khan posting here :))

His WC TV commercials so far have been much longer than his inns.

I alternate between hating on him and on a system that felt need to include him despite CLEAR EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY.
Its one thing to talk about someone's historical record and use that against him, but it required a special kind of mindset to select someone who has been in UK for two months and has show his pedigree to you in the five odi's prior to the tournament.

He only played the last 2 and made 40 off 22 in one of them to finish the innings.
But point taken

that innings doesnt compare to the 350 at Sydney vs Warne. Those three sixes to get to lunch were beyond daring..I mean who its three sixes before lunch? so confident such style..warney was laughing at the audacity..

By the way i felt his best innings was vs India the other day..such style and ability..no wonder kohli asked for tips afterwards!!

Harris will play ahead of the maestro.

The maestro has been giving special sessions to our batsmen I have heard. My best friends cousins wifes brothers friends uncle told me that inzi has been getting the maestro to run special net sessions without Arthurs knowledge to impart his vast experience and processes to the youngsters like babar etc..

And who can forget those legendary dabs to third man for a single, one of the few shots maestro had in his arsenal against the quicks:salute

He cant be a Maestro if we cant even identify who he is

Arey bhai, you need to know miandadrules and the Great Khan’s posts in the past. Of course they are speaking of Malik.

Exactly my point, it takes one to know the OP to figure out the Maestro

Which is still one shot more than many of the non-maestro batsmen, that is the tragedy of it.

When it comes to ODI batting in England, the maestro is in such a great company!
Just look at the legendary players around him! Harmison, Bret Lee, Broad, Swan.... to name a few.

a great tribute thread for the one and only.. No one can match his amazing reflexes tho 🤣

Ha Ha. Bravo - good one.

He can drive any bowler all day long (in his uber cab)
He can cut fine very fine anything up on his face or under his belly length (with gillette mach3)
His focus better than any batsman on crease, better than any eagle in skies (with 48MP mobile camera in hand).
