Yes, just like Amir wouldn’t have conceded 19 runs vs USA in the Super Over if someone else had bowled that Super Over and just like Imad Wasim would have won the match for Pakistan today if someone else had played instead of him.

Pakistani fans are always living in perpetual denial over their average players.

Shan Masood is garbage and would have done nothing today just like he has done nothing in 90% of the innings that he has played in international cricket.

I found this to be revealing because he's come out of the closet and also because it shows what he does in his spare time. It would not surprise me if he was partaking in such activities as well. I mean you can see it in his face. Tell me if I'm wrong?

Not the best day bro to get under peoples skin - emotions are high.

I was watching game today with friends and trust me - two things really disappointed me before the eventual sky fall.

1. At 113/9 - PAK’s spearhead got Siraj, a genuine no. 11, who probably will bat at 11 for most teams …. and conceded 6 runs. That too it’s not through a blind swing, rather Siraj had 3 strikes- that alarmed me that something is not right there. I told them & then that those 5/6 extra runs could be vital - India could score 170 today & walkaway with the game, the gap is that wide…. But, Siraj hitting Shaheen 3 times in first three balls!! Something wasn’t right there in PCT game plan today.

2. My first memory of watching PAK cricket was sometimes 1982-3 - no visual memory but I did watch with my uncles & cousins…. When some Zaheer Abbas used to bat at 3. Since then, 40+ years had past and I have seen many to bat at 3 for PCT - Qasim Umar, Malik, Inzi, Ijaz, MoYo, MoHa, YK, Babar, Imam, Fakhar …. even Khan Sahab at 39…. but today the number 3 that I saw, almost reminded me of Dennis Lille - unfortunately Lillie with bat.

Imad was the icing on the cake though indeed.

Babar is an average player and horrible captain, probably the worst captain in the history of modern cricket. And also a obtuse nepotist who prioritizes his friends over game outcome.

Shadab is a horrible player, plain and simple. He might have bowled few good overs in the 2017 champions trophy, but has been horrible since. He’s so bad, he didn’t even bowl today. Hasn’t taken wicket in God knows how many matches. The only reason he’s in the team is due to his friend being the captain.

After the disastrous 2023 ODI WC, most teams would have permanently retired Ifty, Shadab & co. But in Pakistan where accountability is an alien concept, they are recycled and we keep getting losses to the USA team made up of techie part timers.

It’s a comedic tragedy.
