National Stadium, Karachi: Pakistan never lost a test match before 2000 there. Played 33, won 16 and drew 17. England in 2000 and SA in 2007 won tests there, Pakistan's overall record stands at 21 wins, 2 losses in 40 tests.

Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi: India is unbeaten there since 1988 (lost to WI in 1987 courtesy Viv's 4th innings masterclass 100), played 12, won 10, drew 2 since then. Beaten top teams like ATG Australia, Pakistan (twice), ATG SA (2015) in our unbeaten run.

The Gabba, Brisbane: Australia is unbeaten there since 1989 (lost to WI in 1988), played 29, won 22, drew 7 since then.

Supersport Park, Centurion: South Africa's fortress. Played 24, won 19, lost 2. One of the losses was that controversial match against England in 2000 with Cronje involved in that deal with Hussain.

Interesting nice to now, who will ever beat the Aussies at The Gabba? Did India play them in the ongoing test series I can't recall that they did. I remember Pakistan almost winning in 2016 when Asad and the tail had an outstanding match, chasing 490 I think they ended up 40 odd short. What a win it would have been in a Day/Night test too.

Wow it seems like Karachi stadium is quite clearly the mightiest fortress ever in cricket.

Followed by Gabba, Centurion and Feroz Shah Kotla

I think they had the score to within 30 somethings runs...then the final pair of Shah and someone went for a ridiculous run...all the time in the world and they let it go.

Yeah I don’t think Shah and the #11 would have scored 30 runs. Needed Asad to stay in there along with Yasir and we would have easily chased it down. Still incredible to go from like 170-5 chasing 490 to 450 all out. Wish our tail could still bat like that.

Asad was sublime in that test and it is without a doubt his greatest innings and one of the great test innings, in the 4th inning, I have seen in recent times. It is such a shame that the match did not result in a win.

The Gabba.

Edgebaston due to the volume of the fans.

It seems like Karachi is a mightier fortress than The Gabba.

If the Gabba is the Minas Tirith of the Cricket world then Karachi seems like Barad-dûr!

Edgebaston is The Shire, sorry bro.
