"The ODI series is gone and past now and we are looking ahead to the T20I series" : Umar Amin

Umar Amin speaking to the press ahead of the 1st T20:

This is a shorter format of the game and we are looking forward to the T20I series

We didnt do well in the ODI Series but we are looking forward to the T20I series

I prefer all 3 formats of the game

NZ are playing good cricket at the moment, but we are also number 2 in T20 rankings so it will be a battle for the top spot

The batting has let us down in the ODI Series but with a new format we will turn up as a different side

We have a balanced bowling attack with all sorts of variations so we have all the tools in the box

Shadab has been doing very well for the team for the past one year, and he's been batting well as well so he will be a lethal weapon for us

The ODI Series is gone and past now and we are looking ahead to the T20I series

We havent put good opening pships at the top but it will be different in the T20 series as the NZ opening bowlers wont have such long spells so we will try and dominate them

Out of all 5 ODIs we played the best in the final one and we fought to the end and our morale is up

We are doing well in the shorter format and have 12 out of the last 14 T20 games or so

Quite possibly one of the worsr T20 batting line-ups we will ever put out in our history. New Zealand will beat us with an even convincing effort.

All the best to the boys, have no expectations for them to win the series but hoping they would fight and compete. They have to overcome lot of issues against New Zealand and carry non-performing few also, not an easy task for them.

Somehow this guy Umar Amin's presence does'nt help much of the confidence, he was part of the 2009/10 tainted team that got caught in the spotfixing issue. Plus CS Inzamam consistently picking him for T20 when he is more suited to longer versions also instills skepticism, anyways hope they do well all of them are needed to contribute if they want to win this T20.

True that NZ bowlers will have shorter spells giving pakistan more of a chance. However, I don't see us getting good scores as we'll get out playing aggressive shots and will play conservative for most of the innings. I reckon we will score in the region of 120-149 in all matches, which won't be enough. I still believe 3-0 is on for NZ, and we would have to lucky to win one.

He mentioned last 12 out of 14 t20s won.. that doesn't mean much at all, we came in to the odis being unbeated for 9 odis and we saw what happened.

Umar Amin will be the star of the T-20 series.

They sent Umar Amin to the press? :danish

What's next? They are going to send Vib Singh the physio? How about Sarfaraz and Arthur grow a pair and front up to the media.

At least Sarfi made one fifty unlike our "Pakistani Kohli".

I want him to be dropped as well. I don't have any favourites in the team. I want Pakistan to do well and try to fluke as many tournament and series wins as possible.

I like this way of thinking. I used to listen to interviews from the great Aussie players in Ponting, Gilly, McGrath etc and they all thought the same way, as do/did many of the saffers. Maybe MIckey can infuse a bit of that in the Pakistani mentality. A big issue is the fanbase which goes from love to hate with nothing in between and surely affects the players. The players must look beyond that, think back to their successes because there is no reason why they - a very good t20 side - can't beat NZ, even if it is away.

Sounds so chirpy for someone who struggles to score even in first class cricket!!

So your telling me that you want Sarfi and Babar to be dropped! SarfiBabarHaris whats your thought on this?

Who is this guy, again?

WHY. THE. HELL. IS. HE. EVEN. PLAYING?

I doubt he'll be looking forward to the rest of the series.

Gets a lifeline. Batted well, but for someone being sold as CLH, his career so far has consisted of cross batted hoikes.
