Are you getting 57? That's right too.

(Sin 123) is the same as (sin [180-123]), which is (sin 57).

14530 = 17325 Sin Q
14530/17325 = Sin Q
Q = Sin inverse (14530/17325)
Q = 57
As Sin x = Sin (180 - x)
Sin 57 = Sin (180 - 57)
Therefore Q = 123 as well.

You did this question just because of your argument with 96NotOut in the other thread.:jf

Time to try and do a past paper now, if i need help on a question i'll be sure to post it here :yk

I did 3 in the time I didn't post. :P

You can't be as smart as me in a million gazillion years. :D

I'm still in the middle of doing my first one :)) On question 4 already B)

True true can you help me how do you integrate 3x + 5

I'm just a kid...! :6:

On a more serious note, what is that and how do you do it?

(3x^2)/2 + 5x

Add a power to the x, in this case x^1+1 .. the new power you get .. i.e. 2 will be the denominator too.

Ohh i posted an easy one, i guess in Pakistan they start school 1 year later? If you were in the UK you would be doing your first year of A-Levels right now (unless you turn 18 before September then you'd be in your 2nd year).

You just increase the power by 1 then divide by the new power as Hamzie explained

Thanks :19:

Oh lawd now you guys help me

How do you differentiate between a C8-T1 lesion and an ulna nerve lesion

I turned 17 less than a month ago.

And I started school in the US.

I'll go try it now. :)

I'm guessing that's Biology ?

Oh so you would have started A-Levels, you're gonna try the question? So you haven't learn Integration/Differentiation yet? (I think it comes under Calculus).

you guys want to try some honours maths???

When i did my exams last year i got a C2 (between 60-65 percent which i was very happy with!). The links above are the exam i sat. Feel free to take a quick look at the standards of the irish education system lol (this is the final exam you sit before going onto college).

I can supply the answers if, god forbid, any of you actually decide to try any of them lol

Before starting A-Levels you do that? :o . Wow 300 marks is way too long! I always hated De Moivre (mainly because the teacher that taught it to me couldn't really teach :danish ) but i'm self-teaching myself some topics from ExamSolutions.

Its actually 600 marks. Each paper is worth 300 lol.The two combined give you your result.

Well we have 8 years in primary school (age 5-12/13) and 5 years in secondary (12/13-17/18). The exam i showed you is the Leaving Cert which determines what college offers you will get. I dont know much about other education systems (e.g. i dunno what A-Levels are) but i know our one is seen as quite good (i know some indians who moved here just for the education lol).

Ohhh, yh over here our college years are 16-18. So that's alright but it's way too long 600 marks :)) And yh some people do come here for the education.

could someone do derivation of these for me. have to find gradient

√(1 + 4x)

do step by step......

new question...

how will i solve this

Code:
0=  2
   ---
   √1+4x

i know i could take the denominator to the underway, but how ma i suppose to remove the underroot

Sorry but 2 divide by anything won't give you 0...

Oh fair enough

lol.. ok

What i suppose to do is find the gradient... Now do i don't have value of X nor Y, how am i suppose the find the gradient, that would be used in the equation of normal formula

sorry yar, uploaded from phone, its the first question

Achaaaa i see what you did wrong, 1 sec lemme just get a pen and paper so i can write it out

Sorry i kept making a silly mistake :))

So you want to find the normal to the curve at B. At B we can see x = 0, so you plug that into your equation and you get y = 1. As you correctly differentiated it, you plug you x value (x=0) into your differential equation and you get your gradient = 2, so the gradient of the normal = -0.5.

So y - 1 = -0.5 (x - 0)
y - 1 = -0.5x
y +0.5x -1 = 0
y +0.5x = 1
(Times both sides by 2) Therefore 2y + x = 2

nvm got it.. thx broo

SO if i write

y-0.5x=1 its still correct right?

now the answer that i'm getting for my next question is

derivation=
18
------
(2x+3)^2

Equation of tangent
9y-2x=-5 (the actual answer on paper is 9y+2x=15)

(Excuse the handwriting)

Lool, my handwriting is terrible but as long as the examiners can read it, it doesn't matter :ajmal

The same excuse is used by the students in my class who have bad handwriting.

It is an embarrassing situation for them when our teachers asks, "who wrote the notes with his feet?".:maqsood

I can't stand bad writing, I feel sorry for the examiners who actually have to read all that. It can hurt you too, a kid in my class got a C in one of his CIEs because of his scrawl.

I was going to criticize it, but then I saw your teeny note.

Oh well, if the examiners can read it i don't see the problem :D . In one history i got 97% even though it was all essay based, so i guess the examiner understood :11: .

There was this guy in my class who got most things right bot got a U because the examiner couldn't read his handwriting :facepalm: . He had a scribe for his next exam.

He should have sued the teacher. It is the teacher's problem that she can't read, not the student's. The teacher has to learn how to read, and then become a teacher.

guys help needed

IN coordinate Geomatry there is a formula for calculating triangle area

What is that formula

its something like this

1/2|y1 y2 y3 y1|
| x1 x2x3 x1|

the y1 multiplies with the x2 diagnoly.....

i dont know the proper formula.. help needed

Area of triangle is B.H/2

B = Base
H = Height
. = multiply

:ibutt

Is this the formula you're looking for?

Area = {[Ax (By-Cy)] + [Bx (Cy-Ay)] + [Cx (Ay-By)]} / 2

For a triangle with vertices ABC. Ax is the x-coordinate of A, Ay is the y-coordinate of A and so on and so forth.

My hand writing is beautiful which is very rare for a doctor.

Blimey, which formula is that and when is it used?

Pardon my ignorance, haven't done math since I gave my O Levels in 2008.

I came across it when I was preparing for my mocks, looked it up on the Internet again.

Thanks. Credit to my fazul teachers.

I've never had a decent math teacher in my life, I teach myself.
