I fear after Oval 1992 being the last time Pakistan played a five match series, the same could be the case with Oval 2016 being Pakistan's last four match Test series.
England from now on will only be staging 6 Tests per summer as opposed to 7.
Looks like India and Australia will play 5 match series only in Test Championship final years of 2021 and 2023.
But for everybody else it will be 3 Tests only from now on.
And of course, Pakistan only played a four match series when they played in England in 2006, 2010 and 2016. But you just wonder whether 2016 was the last one?
