This is it my brothers. It's time to say the goodbyes to our beloved streak:( What started as a small journey at Sydney is now ending in Kolkata this March 19th. It feels as if it just happened yesterday, but unfortunately it has to meet its untimely demise at a very young age of 24.

We have had so much memories to cherish but it's difficult to forget someone who gave you so much to remember:(

But nobody gets to live forever in this world and like every life, the streak has to go next week. We have to cherish the streak and respect its short life in this remaining one week. That is how we go on to remember and honour the life of the streak.

What has been your most favourite memory of the streak? Share it here brothers. I'll start with my personal favourite -

This streak will still stay unless we beat you guys in the 50 over world cup which is 6 nil

Nice attempt at jinx but won't work since Rohit Sharma and Anurag Thakur have already made the bold comments which usually our players do, and we know the outcome :farhat

Who are you?

You have a losing streak to correct first. Just hope your team wins its first ever world cup Sully and not botch it up once again.

Hell yeah, this time there is no chance. Streak in blue going to be broken into 1billion tiny pieces

Lovely thread. The streak will be missed. RIP Streak. ATG Amir will tear it open with bare hands.

Brother Roary, please don't rub it in.

This is a time for us to remember the streak. Thanks.

All the hard work done by Misbah for Indian cricket in 2007 and 2011 will be undone in about 7 days time. That is my biggest regret.

Goodbye Streak :misbah

Indian fans have so many memories of the streak
Jadeja's Assault on waqar
Prasad's epic send off to Sohail after cleaning him up
Tendulkar vs Akhtar in 2003
Ind vs Pak tied t20 match and India winning in a bowl out
Misbah 'scoop' which helped India become the first t20 champions
Sehwag's opening overs on-slaught on Gul.
Raina's 72 of 52 balls in 2015 wc.

Rest in Peace The Stream.

Great memories. Pretty much all my childhood. Will tell my kids and all their mothers about the great stories off the stream. Unforgettable memories really. Favourite moment of course being Tendulkar derailing the 3 man pace battery in 2003. What an absolute freak of a knock. Frankly speaking no one saw that coming. Tendulkar was greatest anyway but even his greatest fans didn't expect him to come out all guns blazing that day. My goodness, the highest quality ODI knock I have ever had the pleasure to witness. If I could only meet Sachin that day I swear I woild have fell at his feet. It was breathtaking how he blew away the Pakistani bowling in probably the biggest pressure game ever before Mohali 2011 where he again won the man of the match lol.

No need to cry/celebrate until after the match takes place. Come on Pakistan, Go win!

I do not know why but I have this feeling that our batting will go crazy and hit the Indians to all parts, now if that results in a positive outcome for us waits to be seen.

Imagine if we win our first match and just somehow find a way to go past India. Wow that would be euphoric comeback after the Asia Cup.

Australia and NZ will be tossing and turning on their beds. They can't play spin even if their lives depended on it.

Nah, I'm more intimidated by 'GOAT Bumrah'. Amir is just a 'normal bowler'. :dada :razzaq

Nah.. You can find Bumrahs in every street and corner of Pakistan. One such guy went on to represent Pakistan and eventually got so annihilated that he resorted to bowl spin in a test match :sohail

However, ATG Amir is different. Even :wasim is jealous of his talent :amir

This is the least well disguised jinx you'll ever see.

BTW what's Taufeeq Umar doing behind the stumps :))

The streak has been given a life support for an another year.

Enjoy it while he lasts guys:(

Streak continues to survive. Thug life.. Streak will have a heart surgery next in 2019. Until then, streak lives on :kohli

The streak lives on brothers! The streak lives on. Congrats to all.

Mark my words- The day the streak will end, it will be the day the match matters the most. Perhaps a world cup final

Streaks like this will be broken on the most important of games. Like a WC final in England. Then all else is forgotten:)

Time to add another couple of plaques: Misbah 2015 and Afridi 2016:

Life is short. Every one has to die one day.

Streak has lived a great life till now and that's what matters in the end. He can't live on forever of course.

God knows when this bloody streak will end.

It gets bigger and bigger and every time, we are under more and more pressure to beat us.

We should give Pride of Performance Awards to the Captain and Man of the Match who will finally put this streak to bed.

I don't see it happening in my lifetime, but one day it will break, one day for sure.

A part of me has always wished for it to end in the proper 50 over World Cup, because as long as we don't beat them there, it won't feel like the streak has ended.

Onto 2019 now . . . :azhar

The Indian team looked like they enjoyed playing cricket, whilst the Pakistanis looked like they enjoyed being "cricketers".

Congrats brother. Great match last night. Hopefully the boys can take this forward and beat Australia as well.

Like that one meme says about Pak cricketers: "Happiness is sab ko batting milti hai"

Bump. The streak on the line next year. Sadly after the thrashing we received on the CT final, I think it's time to say goodbye to the Streak forever. India is declining in LOI cricket whilst Pakistan are continuously getting better. The thrashing of the Windies last night is testament to that. Jai Shri Ram! I don't want it to end but looks like it is going to :(

You guys have started this Jinx again more than a year into the WC

The only man that can stop Pakistan is Kohli. Rohit is nothing for us. Dhawan can score a cute 50. Dhoni is Misbah 2.0. Pandya is a hack.

If Kohli goes cheap we will win 9/10 times.

Yes 2 things have to happen for us to win, kohli must be taken cheaply and we must bat first. We won't be able to chase 250 against India in a WC game.

Our ageing team with the Dhonis and Jadhavs will be over a year older by the time our next encounter comes around.

Enjoy the streak while it lasts, Indian fans. It could all end come next summer!

It'd be classic if we started our own streak vs India. Beat in CT final, beat in asia cup 2018, and then in WC 2019.

Don't worry folks. Now one loss that we usually lose before our WC game is out of the way. We will beat them for sure and extend our streak

I’m not sure if the streak will actually be broken next year but it’s definetly the best chance of breaking the streak we’ve had in years.

Over the last 10 years Pakistan has been filled with TTFs and oldies which has hurt the team more than anything. Now the team is made up of youngsters full of energy so it’ll be a much better India vs Pakistan match up than previous years.

The Indian team in 2012/13 had a lot of old players way past it playing for them and they were beaten pretty badly by a mediocre Pakistan side. India moved on from their old guard but we’ve been living with them for a decade until now, which is why I think ind v pak match ups from now on should be much more interesting than recent years.

This Indian side is no match for Pak in the LOIs. Time to bid adieu to the streak.
It was good while it lasted.

I think this might come true actually. Our meek batsmen are no match to Pakistan's renewed pace battery.

Even with Kohli scoring I dont see India lasting for long. Personally I believe he has a mental block against Amir.

Really? What’s with all Indian fans underestimating their side when it comes India vs Pakistan matches.

In recent times I always see Indians saying they’ll loose against Pakistan and when the time comes they win easily.

Like my little bro Mamoon prophesied, Virat Kohli is the cursed child for India as far as the streak is concerned. For all the great things he's achieved for India he will sadly be remembered for captaining India in its worst big match losses to Pakistan. Unlike Dhoni he's unable to keep India calm and composed to beat Pakistan in pressure games.

CT-17 was the beginning
WC-19 could be next

Dhoni was truly a nightmare for Pakistan. He's a clean record against Pakistan except the CT 2009 defeat he crushed Pakistan in all the other games.

Bhaijaan.
