The surprising transformation of Bilawal Bhutto into leader of Pakistan's anti-Taliban

Its hilarious yet very much predictable to see all Bilawal haters are PTI trolls and lovers. Its really a waste of time arguing with people like you as you just DON'T get the point.

My point was simple, Pakistan's biggest problem right now is TERRORISM. Yes that's right, terrorism, not economy. Until we don't solve the issue of terrorism, our economy is not going to get any better.

Now, PTI and all the religious parties want dialogue and peace talks with these ANIMALS, then good luck to you. But I'm here and you are here, eventually, whether now or a few months later, there WILL BE a military operation to get rid of these filthy animals who are killing innocent people everyday.

It's funny how some people call Bilawal and co 'Liberal Terrorists'. I suggest people like you read a god damn dictionary before posting such senseless and useless remarks. Do you even know what a terrorist is? I have lost relatives in the Army in this war against terror, so yes, I hate the TTP and any Taliban supporter with a passion. Bilawal or any other LIBERAL don't kill innocent people or our Army personnel on a daily basis.

When I see so many people hating on Liberals and the modern politicians of Pakistan, it does not surprise me at all to see Pakistan in the state that its in currently. Pakistani's deserve more Nawaz Sharif's, Imran Khan's (the politician), and Maulana Diesel's. Hor Chuppo! Enjoy the fruits of democracy....

I still don't like his party but my respect for Bhutto Babies has increased many folds.

their strong clear anti-extremist/terrorist stance and their launching of cultural festival in sindh has won me over. Let's hope they will not be a disappointment as imran khan and PTI was.

If you're not being sarcastic...

I wonder how low your IQ is if that is all it took for you to convince yourself

Its useless to read somebody's comment who is a supporter of PPP or any of other religious parties. His father won the elections because of his wife and now son wants to do the same but by using a little different reason which is terrorists killed my mother I am against them. If they were against terrorists why didn't zardari go after them when he knew they killed his wife. Oh yeah he was busy looting the country now his son wants to do the same. And most of Pakistanis using word liberal for themselves is big insult to liberalism, better show that word through actions instead of throwing it around like fun. I don't know what to say about you if you relatives had died in this war you wouldn't have said Pakistan deserve this and that, you would have tried to change it. And its pathetic that you used Imran Khan in the same line as Nawaz but didn't even mentioned zardari. BTW Imran khan was never your prime minister or military General so when he is you can happily include him in this list.

Your strategy has failed. Bill has no strategy other than the same.

Probably, but a clear strategy is required to ensure a) the risk is asessed b) the short term and long term objectives are also asessed. c) and exit plan. At the moment there is none.

Im sad for your relatives and may Allah swt give them jannat. But your mixing two issues up. The evil of the terrorists and Bills political ambitions. He has no love for the army or your relatives.

you need to make a choice. If you dont support the democratic process then come out and openly state that you would rather have martial law and a dictator in charge.

your post is highly emotional and I fully undertsand that. But to combat this menace a clear mind and sound heart is required. Bill is a traitor and his family are traitors. You being a member of an army family should find out about things like the Sikh plan and so forth. Pray we never get him or his family back!

now lets come to the pakistans war.

the best way inmho to solve this is:

a) have the peace talks and get a ceasefire. Better to talk than kill.
if we can achieve some of our objectives without losing any more of our jawaans then fine. why not? The cost of this war on opur people and military is very high. For example we are desperatley in need of new helicopters. etc. Buying these will mean less for other programs.

b) If the peace talks fail, we will know which groups have rejected our demands, which ones support them. This means we will be able to co pot the ones that support the negotiations and declare the otehrs kwarij and murtads and eliminate them.

c) continue the development process in south waziristan and spred it to the north.

The nation must work with patience and resiliance. Just look what has happened in syria. haste and despair have elad to disaster. we cant afford that in paklistan.

Was it necessary to post it twice?

Like i said, i am not their party's fan and perhaps never will be seeing their past performances. however i must appreciate positive things they do.

Sindh Festival and his clear uncensored anti-terrorist stance are among those positive things.

I think this is the same guy who still believes this is "America's War". And this was in a thread where I mentioned that I had gone to a funeral of a person killed in the RA Bazaar bombing. These kind of guys will continue to spout this same rhetoric until somebody close to them dies.

This is exactly the kind of delusion we were talking about in the other thread. 50,000 Pakistanis dead and counting and these people still think its not our war.

yes but when proponents of your view are asked "what would you do then" , your rhetoric falls into a large hole.

so I'll ask again for the umpteenth time to another user: "what would you do".

At elast the PTI has a stance. Baby bills stance is contrary to his own party's. for example jsut listen to Qamar zaman kaira.

but coming back to my original point, what would you do?

Let's see what the so called GREAT leader does, talk is cheap

Former Minister of Commerce Makhdoom Amin Faheem’s private secretary Aslam Peerzada confessed to using part of the funds to purchase air travel tickets for Makhdoom Amin Faheem and his family. PHOTO: FILE

KARACHI: Former Minister of Commerce Makhdoom Amin Faheem’s private secretary Aslam Peerzada has been arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Express News reported Monday evening.
Peerzada had allegedly established 35 fake companies worth Rs700 million with the help of a front man.
He has also confessed to using part of the funds to purchase air travel tickets for Makhdoom Amin Faheem and his family.
According to FIA’s investigation, the tickets alone are worth tens of millions of rupees.
The FIA has filed more than 65 lawsuits regarding the scandal.
Fraud in the freight subsidy scandal amounts to a total of Rs7 billion.
In September last year, the FIA also arrested the former Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) chairman Tariq Puri over alleged involvement in the trade subsidy scam.

One of the best speeches I've heard in a while, esp. considering its by a head of a major political party in Pakistan. This kid in his mid 20's has more guts than all of our politicians combined. He has emerged as the leader in our fight against extremism. Keep it up Bilawal. Jeeay Sindh! Jeeay Pakistan! Damadam Must Qalandar!

Honestly, he just looks like a pampered kid whose spent his life abroad and speaks Urdu like one.

Array wah wah kia baat saain nay kaha. You sound like any other peepliyaa.

He must be a pampered kid who did spent his life abroad and speaks Urdu like one, but what he is saying should be given importance, considering he now leads one of the biggest political parties in Pakistan. I would have very much appreciated if he had not come from a privileged background or belonged to a political dynasty but instead of waiting for someone with perfect credentials, I prefer supporting any voice, no matter what background he/she belonged to, if he/she is talking sense and making definite unequivocal statements about terrorism and extremism. Unlike the other lot who continues to obfuscate and confuse the issue. Credit should be given when it's deserved.

I don't think the countless people that the PPP has screwed over through the years would agree...

Sure, they have the right to disagree and not vote for PPP. Frankly, It's too early to say how much of that speech will make it into real policies if and it's a big if, PPP ever comes back to power. It's easy to make grand speeches when you are in the opposition but totally different to act on them once in power. I had totally ruled our Bilawal and any future for PPP after the last elections but after watching this speech, I feel there might be some future for him at the national level after all. It might take time but PPP is probably the only party with good presence in all four provinces and a solid and loyal base. Plus, who is representing the silent majority who are anti-Taliban and are not in favor of talks. Altaf says the same stuff but his credibility outside his blind supporters is shot. Who else is there. Bilawal Bhutto may turn out to be an utter failure like his Dad but at least give him credit for showing some spine and openly calling out the Talibans.

The terrorism problems that he boats about nonstop while sitting in opposition nowadays, what did his party do to halt terrorism in the entire country? They were in power for full five years. Why is this burger even have the guts to talk about corruption and terrorism etc?

That's the point, all of a sudden they want military action but couldn't do anything in full 5 years except Sawat operation which was more of a reaction of Taliban moving towards Islamabad otherwise all they did was issue "We condemn the attack" statements. People have short memories and obviously the ruling families with their media management and political skills know how to play with sentiments of people.

If they were more interested in resolving the problem rather than political point scoring then we wouldn't be talking about this problem today.

I know plenty of people who have died from blasts in Peshawar.

You're right. This is our war. That is why America wants us to fight so badly. They care for us. That is why before the American invasion there was so many attacks.

Wrong to judge a politician by his accent or language skills. Especially when Urdu is not even his mother tongue.

Although lack of language skills mean that he can never be a crowd puller mass leader and always has that unwanted "outsider" tag attached. He should definitely work on it, I agree.
