What's new

The Walking Dead [Use Spoiler Tags!]

Liked this season. Carol needs to be put down. She is becoming a worry. Father Gabriel and Nicholas join Carl of Season 2, Lori and Andrea as my most hated characters on the show.

Awesome scenes with Morgan. Always happy to see him.

They have even devised a new word with Rick's style of ruling - Ricktatorship :))
Wohhh get out of here. Carol has been awesome. Is playing the innocent woman character perfectly in front of Alexandria. I think she went over to Pete's on purpose to get him riled up before the meeting.

Also, it was her that told Rick to wait when Pete came barging in and Rick was about to pull out his gun.
I didn't much rate the finale. What we saw of the Wolves was anticlimactic. I expected a horde of zombies at the gate and they didn't come,
only a disappointing three.

Nice to see this new and improved Morgan back though, obviously through his grief and apparently having acquired martial arts skills.
I think they just threw these Wolves in to tease them. They'll provably be the main villians next year.

I think the Wolves story is definitely going to be developed next season, what we saw till now was just setting the scene.

When are they going to end this series?

Seems to be going on forever. 5 seasons now.

Gonna go until probably season 9 or something. Why you want it to end, I can't get enough of it. It keeps getting better, and this is shown by season 5, as it was the best season so far in my view.

Its getting boring and repetitive..

People go batshit crazy and then they are killed off, then new people are found. Rinse and repeat.

They find a good hiding place with all amenities, all hell breaks loose, they are on the road again. Rinse and repeat.

Definitely - remember how he reacted? He had a bad attitude to women already and having one stand up to him was too much to bear.

She is way too arrogant and delusional over her power in the post-apocalyptic world. She is underestimating the Alexandria people and think they need her to survive. They may have been lucky but before Rick's group turned up, they were doing fine. Now the body count has gone up startlingly.

She is only gonna get worse. She is acting as the lady Macbeth to Rick's Macbeth though Rick has morals and others like Glenn, Michonne and Maggie to keep him grounded.

New trailer for season 6, looks like things are really gonna be intense this season!

Started watching this a year ago. On season 3 at the moment having watched the first episode. It's pretty good thus far, better then I had expected. Took me quiet the effort to get into because I just didn't visualise this series living up to expectations leatherface58 but apparently it has broken all kinds of records as far as viewer-ship is concerned?

Quiet like Daryl, The Black Female Samurai Jack and Shane (such a shame :(, he reminds me of myself). Starting to Hate Lori and Rick, like Andrea and especially Maggie she's so hot :steyn Need a proper female bad-ass though; looks to be the Black Samurai :afridi

Best show on TV, by far.

Also those that haven't read the comics, be warned not to get too attached to your favourite characters in season 6 :))

The Walking Dead [Season 6]

It's finally started :hafeez2

Some major changes expected in this season

Rick is a bad ass, did you not see the scene where Carl is getting raped

Who sounded the horn?

why is Ric being a Tharki, that woman is hot though. Too bad her husband was a legit idiot.

Ladies and gentlemen, The Walking Dead summed up in 3 lines.

Spot on man, I don't know how people still watch this. I was done and tired with it by the 3rd season.

Omg.. What a killer episode "JSS"

Insane!!!!! That's one word I can describe it with. Probably one of the best tv episode ever!!!
Carol is indeed a bad ass. In talking dead, everyone said the same thing as well. Killer episode. I thought it would be one slow episode but no, lots happened.

Seasons 4 and 5 were better that 2 and 3 - lots more character development.

Who sounded the horn?
I reckon it was that Reverend idiot. Can't think who else could have been that thick.

Unless..... Alexandria is under attack by marauders and Carl is calling Rick's crew back?

Watch the second episode, you would know who sounds it.
And make sure you have your pop corn ready beforehand, as it is a breathtaking episode, probably one of the most action packed and highest rated for TWD series.

This show is so awesome. I just hate how we have to wait a full week for more zombies.

Omg are you kidding me?????
What an amazing bloody awesome episode but a main character death :o
I can't believe this is actually happening

Glen dies... Omg

Seems you are still stuck in your world where main characters are safe and expected to survive. Newsflash: Anyone can die.

U could say that in a more polite manner but seems old habits die hard... And well I was expecting his death but not this early into the season...

what an episode

One theory doing the rounds is that Nicholas fell on top of Glenn and therefore it was his guts that were eaten and Glenn might survive. Would be retarded if thats how it goes though, Glenn has to be dead.

Plus am i the only one who thinks Rick may have got bit??

Honestly dont think Glenn is dead if u look how the camera was when the other guy was getting bitten in this episode(guy with Michonne) compared to Glenn it wasn't the same or i hope :(

I agree with your theories but that would mean amc is really trolling us lol

Guys I don't think Glenn is dead, my theory is while the walkers are eating Nicholas, Glenn sneaked into the bin and hid in there.

I agree with your theory too. Lets see in two weeks what the reality was. Nothing such happened in the comics though and this character died an honourable death at the hands of the greatest villain of the series.

Yep, I agree, it is a very long time since we had one that good. At last the Wolves show themselves and they are just pointless homicidal idiots.....

I gave up on the comics after Carl's eye was blown out. I couldn't cope with the misery they were inflicting on Rick any more.

I suggest you guys watch Ash vs Evil Dead- proper zombie stuff. Unlike this overrated show.

What an episode, I can't recall too many eps better than it in this series.

#Thewalkingdead is still the #1 trend worldwide.

I thought Glenn, Sasha and Abraham were all goners.

So who saw seasons 6s Finale ??

A gripping end, for one of the poor souls that were captured.

I am on work assignment in some pind in Canada, with no AMC. Don't tell me yet, planning to go home by thursday and seeing it on Friday. I can't wait for it. 90 min finale. I know though that Negan was introduced finally. I can't wait for this guy to appear on tv. He's my favourite comic book character, hands down.

This season has been even better than season 5. This show definitely keeps getting better and better. Compare this season with Season 2 (worst season in my opinion).

Yes brilliant stuff and what a finale.

Edge of the seat viewing.

Ok So NO ONE is talking about this over here, thought I should bring it up.

What an amazing amazing Season 6 and an amazing Season 6 finale.
Definitely the best show on TV. Broke the internet as to who Negan picks...we still don't know.
Have to wait until Season 7.

Brilliant work by AMC, Scott Gimple and ofcourse Robert Kirkmann. Now the agony of waiting 6 months to know who found its fate with Lucille.

Negan looks like an amazing villain/Character. Definitely is one of my fav characters from the comic book. And damn, they found a great actor to play Negan. I just wish AMC can allow the F-Word on tv, would add more limelight to this character. I think we may see it when blue ray is released. But definitely AMC shows are not 18+ like HBO so they can't use it.

What others think about the latest season?

Finale was pathetic to say the least. Huge amount of people including myself have already been exposed to spoilers of Negan's victim. What was the reason to not show it when it was there in the comics. The whole suspense and build up of the season was in vain.

Never watching this again after the finale leaving a cliffhanger is a joke the show has become a joke. I have finally got around to game of thrones different type of show but it's levels above this crap.

Season started off well, but fell off the tracks last few episodes. Stupid decisions made by the main characters that they normally wouldn't make and then of course the joke of a cliffhanger. AMC dropped the ball.

Cliffhanger was a bad decision. But I think we all know Glenn is going to get it, it's the only way t'll further the storyline with Maggie.

Season finale was great apart from that.

That's true, people knew what was coming. Though, be advised that the tv series has so far been a bit different from comics. All the deaths have been different. Plus it is generating so much talk, and would generate more in the next 5 months. That would help the show wouldn't it?

Oh, I thought it was the red-haired fella.

Dunno why people didn't like the cliffhanger - I found it gripping.

Because people are going to eventually find out who died by sneaking into sets and taking pictures, leaked stuff will be all over the place and it's unavoidable to not hear convos about that through friends.

I stopped watching this around season 4 episode 10 just couldn't bare getting through all the repetitiveness and the pace became very slow with so much dull roaming.

Dude, pick it up again! The second half of season 4 is quite slow but start watching from the second last episode of that season and continue through season five right until season 6. You won't be sorry.

One of the best shows out there right now.

Boring average show. I loved it at the start and actually started watching it before season 2 was out. I actually stopped at the beginning of season 6 but am watching the season 7 premiere to see who died and who knows maybe it actually turns out to be a good episode.

Show us who died already. Rick just haven't flashbacks of his whole crew but we still don't know whose head got bashed in

Great POV scene and we find out who died from ricks perspective. It was
It was Eugene
Suspenseful scene to show us how it happened. So gory

Bloody hell. He kills 2 people!!
He just punished Daryl for interrupting by bashing Glenn's skull in front of Maggie! Glenn's eyeball is sticking out this is intense disturbing stuff. Can't believe Glenn is gone. I've loved this guy since episode 1

Holy crap the most intense scene of the show is happening.

Eugene forcing rick to cut off Carl's arm with guns to everyone's heads. Rick crying.

I got to the point where the black female bad @ss allegedly kills the general I think who was my favourite character on the show, things became really slow after that and I tried to get into it but couldn't; think Rick's kid always being a drama queen just added to my annoyance :)) may try to get into it again

It's not too bad and it has a huge following but I guess it never resonated with me beyond mid season 4 given the overly slow pace/repetitiveness but it's great in bursts isn't it, I'd say in terms of quality similar to Game of Thrones imo

I wasn't ready for this. Tense but an awesome and iconic episode. Don't forget this is based on issue #100 of comicbook and first time someone in the tv show dies the same way as he/she died in the comics.
Ofcourse, we've been trolled a few times of this character's death in the past (season 4 and 6). But definitely a very good episode.

PS. Those who are saying the show is "boring" or "repetitive" , come on!! Have patience to watch such shows. It has 16 episodes in a season and not 10, so the writers don't have to cram everything into one episode. Its definitely exception in terms of quality, something along the lines of Game of Thrones (definitely not better though).

If I was in any doubt as to whether or not TWD writing crew had no idea what they're doing and make crap up as they go along it vanished today.

A safe, completely predictable opener, and the one "surprising" death is so stupid and poorly written it just made me angry.

Why the hell waste an actual shock last season i.e Glenn dying, save him with the most ******** excuse ever (massive horde of zombies dont see a guy tied down crawling under a bin yeah right) only to make him die in the opener in such a stupid predictable way. Absolutely no consistency in the writing here.

As for Abraham, jeez you mean the character who got some backstory and had made a conscious and major personal decision a couple episodes back got the chop! Jee you'd swear thats happened 50 times already! I never saw that coming!.

No shock value for me really (Aside from how gorey it looked). Actual events were boring and predictable and the one time they had a chance to genuinely shock me they of course chickened out because the writers cant actually make their minds up on anything meaningful.

Disappointing beginning after last season was solid.

My prediction for the season.

Spend 2-3 episodes not too much happening, dealing with the aftermath of this episode.

They'll hatch some master plan.

They'll attack Negan or lure him to Alexandria and ambush him. Obviously some minor events will occur in the meantime, we'll get a good luck at Negans camp and such.

Over the course of the season 2-3 minor characters like Eugene/the Hispanic army one/African American woman will die.

Morgan and Carol will wander aimlessly for a while, appearing later in the season when the plot writes itself into a corner and they need some magical saviour.

Negan will die at the end, season ends with them on the road blah blah blah yada yada yada, some ominous threat will appear at the end and they'll finish on some stupid cliffhanger.

Just saw the first episode of season 7.

I was shocked by some of the violence and brutality. However it was still a very gripping episode and looking forward to the upcoming episodes.

Probably the most powerful episode of The Walking Dead. Never have I seen a hero this desperate, a villain this invincible. Hero literally begging helplessly not to buy time to beat the villain but because he truly has been completely defeated. You need episodes of such raw power from time to time. But if you keep this same intensity for all the episodes, people will tune out because there is such a thing as going too far.

Negan can turn out to be one of the best villains ever.

Latest episodes have been a bit slow in my opinion, however last week's episode more like it with plenty of zombie-smashing.

The whole season has been slow if you ask me, I can barely remember a decent episode bar the one where Negan captures Carl and terrorises Alexandria. Feels like the last couple of series are being stretched out to make the most of what's left in this series. If I'd tried to get into this show without watching the first ones I would have given up after a few episodes. Compared to the tension and the horror of the first 4 series, the newer ones are a chore to watch.

Completely agree. They are just building for the finale and that's all they're doing with slow filler episodes.
In contrast, the comics around this phase was AMAZING. Unfortunately the TV writers could reflect this success.
I am still hoping it would be an amazing last 3 episodes.

Season started well with the pacing improving but the episodes where they only focus on one group are a drag.

Well its all over.

Finale actually left me a bit surprised, but that says more about how incredible bad this season has been in my opinion.

Nobody major dying (again) is just a cop out at this point. They keep adding and recycling and killing these mid tier characters like Beth,Sasha etc but never have the balls to actually kill anyone off. 1 major character a season dies basically, and they spend the entire next 15 episodes reflecting on the damn thing.

Didn't expect the garbage people's betrayal I will be honest, but I'm so sick and tired of the teasing and grandstanding only for nothing to really happen.

All in all this season was plain bad. Second worst season after season 2's 15 episodes of farm labour. I'd give this a 4 or a 5 out of ten. So disappointing. Season 6 actually had fairly solid plot development, pacing and some decent moments. Gave me proper hope the writing could be consistently solid. The season 7 premiere was the stupidest piece of writing I've ever seen in this show to date in my opinion, completely got things off to the worst possible start and it barely picked up at all. 15 episodes of discussing war, then 10 minutes of war and now I can't wait for season 8's 10 episodes of prep for the next battle.

Honestly, I'd much much rather watch Negan brutally kill every single "good" guy in this show and watch seven more seasons of him just conquering and leading the whole wasteland USA. Don't give a damn or even like any of the good guys anymore, bar Aaron,Gabriel Jesus and Daryl. Rest are all forgettable now, sick of em all. Negan, Dwight and Trevor from GTA who's name I forgot are far more interesting, fun to watch and just entertaining. If not for Negan this season would've been even worse than 2.

I mean what plot development happened all season? It started off with Negan hunting them down, it ended with Negan about to hunt them again. Complete circle, waste of time and effort, again as I've said before, writers dunno what they're doing, just trying to cram as much as possible into as little development as possible.

Morgan - Hate him now. Pointless side character dies and he goes all mopey after being insufferable annoyingly non violent before (;east that was explained in a great episode and made sense afterwards) then kills a perfectly decent guy as well. Screw him.

Rick - Same as ever

Carol - Non existent all season. Ruined by the writers, went from crybaby in season 1 to total badass to crybaby again.

Carl - Hostage bait at this point. Only exists to be captured.

Michonne - Dull, boring. Went from bad *** samurai woman with mysterious past into housewife.

Maggie - Solid character.

Eugene - Total coward

Rosita - Boneheaded. Least she developed a bit over the season.

Daryl - Little screentime all season I thought.

Dunno who else I;m missing but really can't think you can argue with much of the above. In the writer's endless quest of stretching the show they've ruined half the characters, with nothing to do they just become boring and normal.

Ugh, I'm at the point now where I've invested so much damn time into this series I'm not expecting anything, just sticking around to see how it ends. And I'm one of the few who liked and defended the last two seasons. This one just sucked.

Good thing I stopped watching this show two seasons ago. It is just plain boring now.

Absolute car crash of a season. Although it's never been the same since the first 4 seasons, all the following ones at least had some really great episodes mixed in with the fillers. This one was a total write off. The final battle scene felt like some low budget LOTR imitation. They are obviously trying to wring as much out of the storyline as they can by turning what should have been the final season into three seasons instead.

I agree that it's carp, but I am glued to it nonetheless.

My prediction for the season.

Spend 2-3 episodes not too much happening, dealing with the aftermath of this episode. Partially correct, was actually 10 episodes

They'll hatch some master plan. Correct!

They'll attack Negan or lure him to Alexandria and ambush him. Obviously some minor events will occur in the meantime, we'll get a good luck at Negans camp and such. Correct!

Over the course of the season 2-3 minor characters like Eugene/the Hispanic army one/African American woman will die. Correct!

Morgan and Carol will wander aimlessly for a while, appearing later in the season when the plot writes itself into a corner and they need some magical saviour. Correct! Carol cried for 15 episodes Morgan did nothing but mope and try act all high and mighty

Negan will die at the end, season ends with them on the road blah blah blah yada yada yada, some ominous threat will appear at the end and they'll finish on some stupid cliffhanger.

Bar the Negan dying part this was fairly close as well!

Wasn't far off to be fair!
