2nd time, no world cup appearence. Does Arsenal need to take a step in rebuilding by dispatching some of it's under preformers. Walcott has been a dissapointment this season with occasional preformances, but it is probably time for him and a few others to move on and play for teams that would suit their level, because the once high standard of Arsenal FC has declined in the past few years.

I don't know to be honest,

Last season he was a t stage where he was starting to show what he is capable of, he was starting to show his potential but then suddenly he suffered injuries - dislocated shoulder/knee injury/hamstring which affected him alot.

I say give him 1 more season - and see what he can do, because right now he seems to be a person who has pace but doesn't know how to use it, basically he hasn't got a footballer's brain - it looks like he should be running along with bolt then playing football for arsenal.

Also if arsenal fans want to see the best of him then he must be used a central forward - poacher - him being played on the wing is a complete waste of time.

Also after not being selected for the wcup - it's going to be a major blow to his confidence - but I have faith in the boy - people forget he's only 21/22 so he can only get better.

Just give the boy 1 more season - because wenger spending 10mill is quite alot.

I think he is still pretty useful as an impact substitution - Milan, Barcelona, Liverpool etc - but he may not be willing to take such a 'backward' step.

In all this time, I don't think he has improved as a footballer. Sure he can run fast, and is direct in his approach play, but sometimes he hinders rather than helps Arsenal's cause.

I would still keep him in all honesty, and put this poor season down to injuries. However, he isn't guaranteed a starting berth for next season, and if he has another poor season, well then that would justify Wenger's philosphy of buying young foreign players (aswell as mediocre old french players - Cygan, Silvestre, Senderos (can speak French) and Almunia (must have something french about him to be a forerunner for the captaincy next year, when he shouldn't even be playing for the reserves).

The kid is overrated has got the footballing brain of a fish and isnt consistent enough.

IMO the reason he isnt consistent enough is because when a game is tactical and close such as on a "Grand slam sunday" etc, he fails to make an impact as defenders will have full concentration on defending and not getting forward as much. However when a game is open he can use his pace to great effect, still the same could have been said about a certain Ryan Babel.

Theo has had a very good season. He is not the strongest player technically or awareness wise, but, he has improved his end product a lot and is a reliable finisher now. As far as big games are concerned, Theo is one of the few Arsenal players who is actually a threat in big games.

Arsenal have an abysmal record in the last couple of years against big teams, but, Theo has performed against Chelsea, Milan and Barcelona, a few games where we've actually done well against big teams. In fact, performance against the big sides is one of the positives of Theo.

His injury proneness hurt him again, but, he was in the top three most productive players last season (goals + assists / minutes) in the Premier League along with Nani and Van Persie. He's just turned 22 despite being around for ages and that is a really good record for someone his age.

Walcott is wastefull and is being wasted out wide. He has been begging for several months to be tried out in the central forward position BUT it looks like Wenger won't use him in the position where we are likely to see the best out of Walcott.

He has a year or two left on his contract - I wouldn't be surprised IF he leaves, the player wants to play upfront and wants trophies - two things which he won't be getting IMO, this is what he can do IF we use him in a striker position..........

Capello is a big fan of pacey wide wingers BUT Lennon and Walcott have failed to produce the kind of performances which Capello had hoped for.

Certainly for me Young has been the best winger in the country this season alongside nani. He is probably the only inform English midfielder this season and would be one of the 1st names on my team sheet. Unfortunately the lack of good second striker to play alongside Rooney for England might mean we will see young play as a second striker with Downing on the left.

The only way we will see him playing as a central forward is... In a classical 4-4-2 formattion.

Oxlade is a technical player who naturally plays as a central midfielder - but the boy has been blessed with sheer pace which not many playmakers tend to have these days, this gives Wenger the option to use him as a winger, and one thing is for sure...

Oxlade and even Ryo Miyaichi don't lack a footballing brain - and can utilise their pace much better then Walcott.

I can see Walcott leaving Arsenal soon, only has a year or two left on his contract, I think.

If there is no space for him to run in behind he literally useless. He hasn't got the dribbling skill and doesn't have a great cross. Also he hides and doesn't want the ball. His work rate is questionable at times I wouldn't have a problem if he is sold as long as he is replaced.

Xhaka is a good player. We aren't using him correctly. How he needs to be used is in a 3 man midfield with legs and athletiscm around him. Look at how well he does for Switzerland.

On Bellerin, I think he is out form. He will come good but if he wants to leave and we get a decent offer we should sell .

Our fans are being too harsh on Xhaka and Bellerin. In recent games they haven't been that bad. But as soon as they make a mistake , fans are assuming they have been absolutely disastrous which hasn't been the case. Our fanbase always have to hate on certain players.

The whole British core was a recipe for disaster - Wenger was so influenced by the old concepts of loyalty and traditional values, he screwed the club in the process. His biggest denial was to persist with Walcott, and thinking he would make him into an Henry, he played Walcott 2 seasons as a central striker, whenever I hear this I can't help but laugh, Walcott has played many a big games as a central striker and I can't fathom to belive someone like Wenger thought he could pull this off. Had he got a striker back when we were over-relying on Giroud, we would have been a much better team.

This is the biggest reason for Wenger's decline. He made a few realizations about his tactical deficienices a bit too late. He has made a few signings a bit too late. Arsenal has been crying for an out an out no.10 for so long. If he has realized this back in 10/11, built on a team already consisting of Nasri, Fabregas, Van persie, he would've atleast added one more title to his lineup.

I have just told you what Xhakas nest position is. Wenger is the one who is making you question his best position because he is playing him out of position.

We aren't in the champions league and any players he does sell he doesn't seem to get the max value out of them. Our main revenue stream is tv money and from matchday revenue . Neither which Wenger controls. So he's not even making us as much money as he has.

Hope he steps down at the end of the year.

I still vividly remember watching Walcott hit a stunning hat-trick vs Croatia about 10 years ago and thought 'wow this kid is going to go on and do huge things for club and country'. Sadly I way off the mark. Hope he manages to turn his career around at Everton.
