Here is your humble pie.

It prepared Australia and NZ the best possible way for the world cup.

SA 20 overs 119
AUS 19.4 overs 121
WI 14.2 overs 55
Eng 8.2 overs 56 and lost 4 wickets.

Yes, the pitches are not the same but the mindset would help them tremendously in low scoring games.

So Bangladesh must be the favorites to win the world T20 given that they have the best preparation.

I’m not sure how the ICC plans to hold the whole tournament at Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

We may see 50 being defended by the end of the tournament

Bro the pitches you prepared are so bad, I can bet my life that even Habibul Bashar could come out of retirement and take wickets.

Look at the names of those who took wickets today. All quality bowlers.

I guess Rizwan's selection and the decision to open him will be justified then.

We shall wait and see

You are still better off trying to target the powerplay for maximum runs

40-0 after 6 can’t easily turn into 70-6 after 13

How?

He struggles against quality bowling be it spin/fast bowling/medium fast

not far when when we know how much calibre he has; expecting 7 off 19 balls from him tomorrow

So many variables & combinations are tending to mess up my arrangements.
Just not fair - india as hosts, someone better come out & make a statement…..

Although the pitches, as you say is haywire, the end result of todays matches is no great surprise, so im gonna keep it simple & not over think.
Fingers crossed.

Except none of the players who played in that series are in the WC squad.

This post = Death of Bangladesh Cricket

Both South Africa and West Indies batted pathetically.

The ball didn't turn square, nor did it keep low.
Average spinners were not bowling like Warne at his pomp...

But if Bangladesh want to continue to produce such wickets and then that good for them!
They're a minnow team anyway snd this will just kill them off completely as a team that can fluke a win here or there.

Mirpur pitches were outrageous for T20 games. I don't support those pitches.

So, Bangladesh have to produce dustbowl pitches to face Australia C and NZ C? That's just sad.

You are correct.

Neither Australia nor New Zealand sent in a decent team. I don't believe those were good preparations for the World Cup. BD are doing poorly anyway.

Given how things have panned out, its not too difficult to say "you know what, those BD pitches were not as bad as we thought them to be initially."

Aus team was more than decent, in fact it almost their full strength team bar few people. Do you not follow BBL and know those players?

Australia team didn't have Finch, Warner, Smith, Maxwell, and Stoinis. That's like their entire batting.

As far as mindset and low scoring matches go, you have a point.

Think today we are going to get a better idea of what degree of difficulty there is to score big runs on these pitches, with both games being contents between subcontinental sides.

This backfired spectacularly.

If you can't admit you were wrong. I hope you can at least give Rizwan the credit he deserves for his special innings and partnership with Babar.

This thread looks a bit silly now.

We have now seen multiple 165+ scores. Afghans have scored 190 today.
