Is a player's position in his player profile the right one or the one on my team sheet?

For example - Eric Abidal isn't a WB on his profile but is on my team sheet

Isla is only a RWB on my team sheet, but an RB, CB, and a DM in his profile

Some players are versatile. Abidal for example, is, actually an LB but he can also play CB, just as well. :asif

No I know that but I was just confused because one plays shows just one thing, where another place a whole lot of variety

Why does one thing show something and another thing another?

Does this mean I can play Abidal at LB and Isla at RB?

Abidal plays LB or CB, would never play him RB

Abidal LB with Isla RB makes sense

Neither. A poacher should be somebody with really good finishing, neither of them, have amazing finishing. Ideally, Torres should be your poacher. A poacher is somebody, who's clinical in the box, who's there in the right positions to tap the ball into the net.

You should play Torres, central. Robinho, left flank. Walcott, right flank and bench Lavezzi, atleast thats what I'd do :)

Yeah that's what I've figured as well BUT I was just researching online because I don't know sh!t about FM and apparently people have had a LOT of success playing Lavezzi and Walcott as poachers upfront alongside a good, solid complete/advanced forward (aka Torres)

Don't forget I have Gervinho too, that's why I'm using the 4-4-2 diamond right now.

Two strikers up front, Walcott as the AMR and Gervinho as the AML.

I have my formation planned out, but I don't like how apparently some people are "beasts" on FM despite having worse stats than others, so just trying to figure out who to keep where

Honestly the main problem is my conscience here though as Afrid1 is expecting me to give him Clichy for Torres, but I prefer Dzeko, wouldn't mind both though :P

Feel free to look at ANYONE else though. Do you NEED an LB/LWB? Or will something else work for you?
