All transfers MUST be negotiated and finalised in this thread. Negotiations must not take place via PM's (unless I give you permission) as I want to see if all transfers made are being carried out properly and I can guide you on whether the game will allow the way you're going about things. Any transfers negotiated outside of this thread will result in the transfer being blocked and the team attempting to buy that player will be banned from making future bids for that player for the remainder of the transfer window.

Each team has been allocated a transfer budget by their boards which are dependent on what they expect you to achieve in the coming season. Any money made from selling players may be added to your transfer budget (this is up to your club's board) and any money spent will be deducted. Once a bid is accepted for a player, it is then up to the player himself whether he wants to move clubs or not.

The number of players that can arrive and depart from a club is limited to 10 in total throughout this entire transfer window. So, for example, if you have 5 players coming in, then only 5 can leave. However, this excludes free transfers and releasing players. The limit of free players is 6, you can release as much players as you wish.

Although it is a first come first serve basis on these players, I will not be taking requests for these players until the transfer window actually opens. Requests made before the window opens will be rejected, and will not be taken into consideration once the window is finally opened. Fresh requests will need to be made in such cases. A limit has been set of 6 free transfer players per club during this transfer window. In addition to this, each team is only allowed to claim 1 free transfer player every 24 hours.

The transfer window opens Sunday 30th December 2012 4:00pm GMT. You can start negotiations for players before then if you wish, but no transfer will take place until the opening of the transfer window. The transfer window closes on Sunday 6th January 12:00pm GMT. I suggest you get things done very very quickly once the window opens.

Remember that there is a maximum squad size limit of 22 players and a minimum squad size limit of 18 players. You are allowed to go over or under this limit at any time during this transfer window but will need to be within the limits by the end of the window. Players may be released in this thread to reduce squad sizes. If you're not within limits once the window closes, you'll be deducted 3 points from the league and fined $30 Million. I WILL NOT BE ADVISING ANYONE ON THEIR SQUAD SIZE, SO IT'S UP TO YOU TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS YOU HAVE.​

This is the pre season window so the player doesn't count :afridi only in the mid season that happens... i.e. in the first window the player doesn't have a choice

Odd but it's been said before that your budget money 'may' alter as per board's wish. Even now its been mentioned that money gained from dealings 'may' be added to total budget.



Earlier i thought it was bit unfair for those who acquired extra players through money to be limiting their squad to 12 like all compared to those who had below 22 players earlier and 'saved' their money.
 
I don't think that's fair at all. And it's not realistic either.

I know boards give their teams EXTRA money or alter the budget, but for everyone to be calibrated to the same amount makes absolutely no sense to me. I acquired quite a bit of cash at the end of last season, and even though I only went down by 5m, it's not fair to me because a lot of teams had a lot LESS cash and now I can't use my money to the same advantage.

I agree with that. Please raise this issue in the Q/As thread. Wish i had spent all my money last season, only to be given back 100 M and be put on the same level with all. :yk

it is a new game with newly drafted players so the team budget is given the same. There were some teams with more than 150M budget last season and they are not a part of this season, New season is new and i think the budget given to everyone should be same. You can save money this window and it will be there for you in the mid-season.

But Ibad what about the managers that are still playing from last season. I gained a considerable amount of cash at season's end, and was saving up for the new season. How am I supposed to take advantage of my cash when everyone has the same amount of money. It limits me from making the same deals that I could have when someone had only 20-30m. Maybe everyone should have at least a 100m, but then people who had a lot of cash at the end of the season, should be given more.

Exactly! That right there is my issue with everyone having the same amount of budget. If I want to make a deal with Afrid1 my cash holds a lot LESS value to him now.

Ibad bhai, just like the Cavani issue, i am quite sure majority will again be righteous and agree to 'budget adjustment'. We wont have any problem IMO. Lets make this change before any transfer occurs. Fortunately the issue has been raised very early. :)
 
I got the team more than half way through and if my team's finance is low, it will be due to no fault of mine. So that point also has to be considered.

That doesn't matter. IRL, whenever any manager takes over a team, he deals with it from the current situation and the amount of money the board gives him from that point.

League is about teams bro, not managers. Not your fault but this is the team you have got and this is their actual financial situation in the league.
 
What about financially compensating teams with full 22 member squads for releasing 1 or 2 extra players compared to those with less than 22 players? This factor should be taken into account as well. Certain teams made use of their money to get a few extra 'quality' players.

What about financially compensating teams with full 22 member squads for releasing 1 or 2 extra players compared to those with less than 22 players? This factor should be taken into account as well. Certain teams made use of their money to get a few extra 'quality' players.

Hmmm, not sure what this means? I don't see the point of giving teams 22 member squads though...those players would come from the free transfers.
 
i have checked the budgets and some of the current teams have low balance, even some got lower than 50M. It will be unfair to them if i give them low budget with new season starting.
 
the budgets FC is showing is not correct. I have the updated budgets after the season's end.
 
All Stars have freakin 130 M. Why worried LF? LOL
 
OK, i got a solution for this. I will give all the new teams $100M to start with and the remaining teams which haven't changed their teams will be given the budgets from where they left.

Why will it be unfair? They spent that money to acquire players.

Lol I didn't know how much I had. I thought since my team was last, I might have less money.
 
its a new season and the base price is $100. Teams with less than $100 will be given a minimum of $100 and the teams with more than $100 will be given what they actually had after the end of the last season.

That doesn't make sense at all. You're meaning to tell me that I should have just spent every drop of money that I had last season, and I'd still have 100m right now? How does that seem fair to you?

I think the issue is not with poorer teams getting to the 100 M mark. Issue is that those who had more money should be equally compensated so that it wasn't their fault to be saving their money last time around.


If team A had 50 M and team B had 120 M then their current budget should be 100 M and 170 M respectively.

I guess that's fine but then there's just too much money flying around. I just don't understand why it has to be like this...

When there's a new season, the board/sim gives each team a new budget. Can't we find out the realistic value FM would give each of the teams, rather than allotting a set amount?
 
ok i have adjusted the budgets. There was only one team with less than 50M budget and the remaining were close to $100. Every other team given the same with $5-10 increment in their previous budget.
