, I remember a poster once suggested there should had been an U Akmal vs U Akmal thread to revive his career lolPrithvi Shaw needs a career resurrection thread. His technical weakness are exposed and inferior bowlers are getting him out.
Rishabh Pant issue was mindset and lack of confidence which has been fixed and result is there to be seen for everyone.
Eh?
Nothing has changed. Pant is a sensational talent and he will be a top player for India for 15 years. He is just going through a lean patch which is part of his learning curve.
He is India’s Gilchrist and the most talented WK batsman to emerge out of the subcontinent since Dhoni in 2004-05.
BCCI have given him an A contract in spite of your assumption that India has given up on him. They haven’t and they won’t, because even a team like India can’t produce talents like him all the time.
Our fans are setting themselves up for disappointment as usual. They never learn. You can laugh and make fun now, but you will see where Pant stands in the game 10 years from now.

: said Pant is an Umar Akmal...
:"Headless chicken" and "proper muhallay waala Tullyabaaz" is heading on its way to become the next Gilchrist in making.
Lol Indian fans like mamoon are nowhere to be seen on this thread apparently who he was so sure about that pant would be the next superstar in world cricket is being compared to the likes of Umar Akmal now. Even Indians have given up on him now.
Woww..what a prophecy!!
Mamoonadamus

Anyone with half-decent understanding of cricket could see that Pant has immense potential.
The issue is that the vast majority of Pakistani fans are clueless and know nothing about cricket.

I hardly open threads on PP. Glad i opened this one.
Haha it did though. It did.Hahahaha joshila Bhai trying so hard to make Umar akmal comparison luck rub onto Pant.
Had he not not already scoring centuries in Australia and England by then? So in terms of a comparison with Umar Akmal; he was already well ahead
He was still called Tullaybaaz.
So? Even then he has surpassed Umars career
Its amusing how some pakistanis think that power hitters from India are all Afridi type hacks and hence call them Tullaybaaz.
Afridi was very good against your trundles .No need to drag him here
I agree with your agreement![]()

Still zero century in limited over cricket. But excellent knock against very good eng bowling attack today

Where is Umar Akmal these days? He is still 30 lol.![]()

He was not....he was shockingly poor and avg only 23 against us with the bat.
Very shocking indeed 50 odd ball hundred or 109 strike rate in 2000 era against arch rival .especially strike rate of 134 in india
Afridi was very good against your trundles .No need to drag him here
Lol he lost way more matches than he won against india. He became irfans bunny. His strike rate is mostly because of 2 ball 4 kind of innings
Pant may be more successful but as far as natural talent is concerned, he is no match in terms of potential that Young Umar Akmal possessed. Pant is just lucky that he is being managed by a more professional board.
SR is useless if you avg 25.
Umar Akmal is 30 these days!! We've grown old
I actually want Akmal to make a strong comeback and surprise all the Posters here but as of now it looks like a distant dream
You won't be laughing when Umar Akmal v 6.0 makes a comeback and smashes bowling attacks around the park when he is picked again by the Pakistani selectors.

India and Pakistan should play the next road safety series.

I also want to see that happen
PP will become even more entertaining with Junaids' posts on him
Avgd 25 with the bat. Thats the level of your very good.

Matter of fact you mentioned him since he retired from cricket 10 year ago![]()

25 @ 110 is actually very good stats for the lower order.
And averages 32-33 with the ball on top of that is really good too.
People underrate Afridi a lot

Pakistani fans obsession with Afridi and overhyping for him is one of the main reason why they've become such a mediocre team right now. He's nothing more than a slogger version of Chris Harris.

Pakistan’s mediocrity is because of romanticizing inconsistency and packaging it as unpredictability.
All this nonsense about cornered tigers mentality and how Pakistan cricket is a roller-coaster ride etc. is the reason why we are always mediocre and lack professionalism.
The 1992 World Cup damaged the mentality of Pakistan cricket and ensured that we became reliant on flukes rather than building a proper team and striving for consistency.
Afridi is simply a consequence of that damaged mentality and not the source. If Pakistan was not obsessed with unpredictability and cornered tigers mentality, an unprofessional and irresponsible player like Afridi would have been asked to mend his ways or go home.
