Umesh Yadav Performance Watch

Umesh Yadav is the fastest youngest talent in the world, what a ball to get rid of chanderpaul Umesh is the new god :sachin

Where is the thread for Ashwin. He turned the ball nicely, it was a good sight to view after years of darting.

congrats on getting a bowler that averages 145

wake me up when you get to 150

looks good but again for how long..pathan looked good too..so did ishant..pace with fire and all that..sooner or later they will get to him..will he be able to resist? fast bowlers are more prone to injury and can get affected by the star lifestyle just look at akhter! lets see where he is in the next three years.

For now, India can say they have a genuinely quick bowler.

You could tell straight away just from watching that he's quick, didn't even need a speed gun.

The first thing I would do is keep him away from T20s and the IPL. Not sure that will happen though.

1.1 billion and counting, about time they produced a fast bowler!

You have a few who LOOK good now. Lets see how they fare against the better teams now.

I believe the idea has got to be hunting as a team. A good bowling unit is what we should try to build. Adopting rotation policy, giving rest to everyone after some matches. I don't think in the present scenario we can have someone as good as Steyn, just forget about it. All we need is a bowling unit which collectively remains POTENT.

Know exactly what you mean and totally empathise with you. I mean it took over 100 yrs for a certain team to finally make a " Rest of the World " team and gain No1 status by being Home bullies ! So , we are not doing too bad, are we ?;-)

LOL at an Indian fan accusing us of being home bullies. Also a bigger LOL at your username, i doubt you've ever seen a right arm fast bowler wearing Indian colors.

PS: When did India last defeat Australia at home? I remember Ishant bowling a decent over at Ponting a while ago, does that count?

/\ hahaha !!! Being rubbed at the wrong end, ehh :pissed:? Sure, truth is bitter...Take it with a pinch of salt, will hurt less ! :))):quote:

Haha, i'm not bitter son, my team are #1 in the world. India on the other hand, are rubbish. :D

PS: Steven Finn is already quicker than any Indian bowler ever play the game. Keep trying lads, you'll find one some day.

i have to agree..
you guys are not even bullies at home :)))

barring your last test series with us, which team was dominated completely by England..
by domination i mean the way our ODI team dominated England recently :D

and about having some fast bowlers in our colors, wait till we poach someone from SA or WI :23:

who says home track bullies cant be #1, we ( ur team and my team ) are perfect examples :)))

yeah, at ODI's which England have been chronically **** at.

Good luck taking 20 wickets on highways against Strauss, Cook, Trott, Pietersen, Bell, Morgan, Prior, Bresnan, Broad, Swann, Anderson.

Cook, Trott, KP, Bell all average 50+
Prior, Bresnan,Strauss, Morgan all average 40+
Broad averages 30 and Swann averages 24.

Good luck.

Been there done that son....

Thread is getting derailed because of few sensitive PPers. :D
Lets stick with discussions about Umesh Yadav.

Umesh Yadav - Indian Waqar :23::23:

:waqar

one victory in the last 25years in australia :danish
win something in SC , thats where your real test starts :19:

Well why didn't the BCCI arrange some tests for the return series rather than a pointless ODI series?

Clearly they were scared that England would open another can of whup-ass on your legends.

Coz the ECB needed a bit of dosh from the ODI's to fund a new scouting round to the African bush :D

Come back when you can gather enough mercs to try and win a series....

You have to go back what 30 years for the last series victory? :D

2008, wasnt that an England team that lost?

Didnt they loose the test series then?

Or was it too English a team to qualify? :D

Our team is a million times better than the one in 2008, as i kept explaining to Indian fans when they cited the previous tour of England as a reason why India would win last summer. They were wrong, i was right. :D

But then thats what the England fans said about the ODI series too :D

Just coz you lost, it becomes a JAMODI- what a bunch of pus s ies :D

the english players performance (recent or past, whatever you choose) doesn't support your claims though.

maybe because Indians can watch the paint drying rather than watching cook and bell batting :D

And why didnt ECB ask BCCI to arrange some test matches between us.
Whatever reason you can give , #1 test side should not get all out 4 out of 5 times in 50 overs. :D

Which England fans? I don't recall any on here proclaiming that we were going to defeat you in ODI cricket in India.

You musnt have watched much cricket IMO. The ICC schedule is arranged years in advance

Enough derailing guys. Stick to the topic.

Umesh Yadav >>>>> Daylight >>>>> James Anderson in India :)))

However rubbish James Anderson may be in India, it's a sure thing that he'll still get Sachin out for single figures. :)))

By that mark Kumble owns Jimmy and Engurland....bowling wise and batting wise

Kumble>>>>>>>>>>> Whole Engurlend :D

Gotta love Kumble, quality player, had lots of fight in him unlike the current Indian fairy's.

How the hell have English fans hijacked the Umesh Yadav thread?
Have some shame you jerks :yk

Whats next ??
Joginder Sharma >>>> Botham :)))

But i like malaikan , his banters are friendly and not so offensive unlike some of the other PPers :D

Will do, he's a decent prospect to be fair. Hopefully the BCCI will look after him, we need more quick bowlers in cricket.

Will Finn get more chances in tests? Before series with India I thought he would be preferred over Bresnan. But he didn't play any test.

I think Bresnan & Tremlett are currently ahead of him in the pecking order. He'll force his way back in at some point.

You are Wrong they have 1.4 billion about 300million more man.

After entering test cricket in the 1930's, wow that,s quick production of a quick.

For how long before we hear the siren of an Ambulance?

1) Whoever said that we only have a great bowling attack due to pouching from SA and WI well erm....

Anderson, Broad, Swann, Tremlett, Bresnan, Meaker, Finn are all white caucasian and born in England and lived there their entire lives.

Fail.

/discussion

The word's poaching. Surely you don't need an Indian telling you that :)

So what about Adil Rashid, Shahzad, Monty, Samit. Are they English?

First of all do any of them play in the England test team?

And yes, funnily enough they are.

Rashid was born in Bradford, Monty was born in Luton, Samit was born in London, Shahzad Huddersfield.

So yeah, another fail.

Not really, that wasn't the intention. Just wanted to see who you think is English.

Back to topic - Just watched links posted in this thread of his wicket taking deliveries. This kid has serious potential. If he keeps it consistent and improves further then India will have that one thing which they always lacked. However, I seriously doubt it will happen - sure enough Indian coaches will bring him back to line and length bowler. It's a culture thing IMHO - RP, Munaf, Zaheer - all started with great promise on speed but look at their pace now.

If they are really serious then they should keep him away from dead subcontinent pitches and let him play on more fast/bouncy/swinging conditions outside. He will build his confidence and will improve his craft. More often than not, confidence or the lack thereof breaks a fast bowler on these dead tracks and nips their careers in the bud. By regularly playing on lively pitches, he will get to know his true worth and the resulting motivation will push him to keep getting better. Else these flat docile pitches, IPL and Indian coaches will demotivate him beyond repair.

If they were born in Britain, live in Britain all their life and speak with a British accent, then to me they are British.
None of this your not white so therefore not British crap.

The word's " Funny ", my " English " friend ! For a brit, you sure do speak some ' out of this world ' English ! We all understand your true origins, so no point going there :)

How is a guy considered to be genuinely quick when he does NOT bowl over 90 mph consistently?

How the standards have fallen.

He's not that quick. We'll see how he fares in Australia, he only bowled well against West Indies who are not at their prime best. But he's no where near Amir, Aisf and any quicks. He's just mediocre

of the current lot he is close to being the fastest(i would say cummins beats him by some kms)

but the reason he isnt bowling consistently 145+(Stays mainly 135-145) is the flat pitches that india produces. i mean barign mohali and maybe bangalore no wicket aids fast bowlers even on day 1. thats poor.

still the guy gets 7 wkts. thats impressive. one can hope he keeps bowling quick and not become like the munaf or the :nehra

btw impressive ball by ashwin to dismiss roach yesterday. awesome spin. ashwin is an offie but he is increasingly reminding me of kumble.

Finn is quicker than both, although tbf speed isn't everything. Brett Lee got spanked in England, because he bowled in straight lines & had no variation. Most international batsmen can handle 90mph bowlers.

^^
yeah finn is also quick. did damn well in india. has a sick strike rate in tests. he should be selected to play in sc tests instead of jimmy.
