UP madrassas told to cut Muslim holidays

How does it work in England w.r.t Madrassas and the holidays?

Madrassas are privately funded so they can do what they want. Some madrassa's rent space in schools so follow the school holiday schedule, others are attached to masajid hence can set their own holidays. The government doesn't get involved unless the school is state funded. then you follow the normal school holiday schedule.

I think you are right. One must not jump to apply what has worked for others.

Tolerance is well and good, when it happens from all ends. If it is given from only one end, then it becomes appeasement. This policy of appeasement has led to Brexit and rise of UKIP. If only the non natives were grateful and tried to stand for British ideals instead of wanting to stick to their own ideals. So there is a warning for the lesser nations like ours, that following British policy of appeasement might not have the best outcome. Let us keep watching the appeasement experiment in UK laboratory and wait for the results. As the great Churchill said..that appeasement is like feeding a crocodile hoping it will eat you last. Lets see if the crocodile spares the UK, before trying to copy its policy.

Non-natives do mostly conform to British ideals, if they build their synagogues and temples, it is because a tolerant western society has no problem accommodating places of worship. Those that overstep their bounds like the mischievous Anjem Choudhary are dealt with by fixing the law so that they don't abuse the freedom of speech they have tolerantly been granted.

As for being grateful, don't know what you mean by non-native here. If you mean immigrants, then indeed they should be grateful if we accept them in our midst. If you are talking about ethnic Brits born and brought up here, I could give you an integrated British answer but it would probably be deleted as this forum doesn't conform to most British forum standards being a Pakistan focus site.

Thanks for your valuable insight as a non native integrated British citizen. The more people integrate, the less will be talks from the haters of the quaint english saying about a horse, dog and a stable.

So tell me, how could the dog integrate if that saying is true? Maybe if it was a big dog you could put a saddle on it and try and ride it?

If the dog tried to become a horse, that would be assimilation, not integration.

I think you would find that dog would find it difficult to become assimilated to the horse, no matter how many seasons it spent in the stable, so this is probably not the best example. Could it be integrated with the horse if it spent enough time there? Yes I think it could if it wasn't a naughty dog, and if we bring this back to the OP, I think that is always the case. But if you want to live harmoniously in the stable, you can't be a naughty dog or a naughty horse, and that is a universal truth which can be applied anywhere, doesn't matter if you are native or non-native.
