Millions have been killed , countless nations destroyed, people starved to death due to sanctions. Dictators propped and installed. Theft of natural resources, the list goes on and on and on and on...............

This is not about empires of the past, we are here in 2020 and there is one nation whose policies are causing suffering to many people around the world.

How can the planet end this tyranny?

The Americans replaced the British in invading other nations to exploit their people and resources, and China will soon replace the Americans.

It’s a never-ending cycle.

Not sure China will be like the US but this is in the future.

For now, the world needs to stand up to this terrorist bully.

For the record, most Americans are very good people but their governments have been no less than evil.

Should other nations form a unity and stand up to the US?

Should the United Nations be scrapped and a new international order be created?

Do other nations have a right to self defence in the same manner USA uses self defence? I.e random killings, assassinations around the world, against int law?

Romans, Persians, British are long gone empires. It will go but I assume you mean someone else will replace?

We cannot live with a mind 'well someone will do bad things' esp since we all are at risk of some devastating war started by America which will ruin the planet.

You think British and Americans are the only ones in history? Are you becoming oblivious to the religious warriors?

Lets not even forget the Mongols, the climate itself got affected because of sheer number of their killing.. not religion here though

Where did I say that they were the only ones? I can't be bothered going through the entire history of the world to make a point.

Read the OP, this thread is about current times and the US. Don't divert as usual.

Strong prey on the weak. Got it, thanks.

A majority of the world relies on the US economically, militarily and otherwise. Most countries including Pakistan don't have a say in this tbh. Most countries won't speak up unless they have their own goals and interests in whatever nation the US is invading.

"Might is right" is the right word here.

Interestingly, the UN was formed after WWII. Before that, it was the League of Nations which was formed after WWI. Perhaps we'll see a new international order post-WIII.

There will be no need after WW3, most of the Earth will be ruined and billions dead.

So you believe there is no way?

What is US suffered a economic depression? Surely the American public will then want an end to these terrorist actions abroad?

USA only wants/wanted to bring secularism and democracy to the Middle East and Asia.

Asia and Middle East are stuck in tyranny and barbarian laws with pathetic rulers. It only makes sense for a civilized nation like USA to show them the light of democracy/secularism/Free speech.

God Bless USA.

From a Pakistani perspective, we can play our part if our military finally gives up its status as the chief mercenary of the U.S.

Corruption is the forefront in politics, it's aim is power, to gain that the regime's have to build a aura of invincibility through lies, deception, oppression, in the political world those who are honest, peaceful are buried or or pushed aside as weak, and yes America's time will end soon but unfortunately they will be replaced by another regime with same principles

Pakistan has clearly stated that their resources will not be used in this altercation

I agree USA wants to give freedom to people in the world

Its only by accident millions have been killed in their freedom wars over the last 70 years

The Foreign Office/Foreign Minister of Pakistan has no say because the actual foreign office of Pakistan is the GHQ.

Whatever the word chewer SMQ says is of zero importance. Similarly, Imran Khan has no say in this either. Whether Pakistan will once again play mercenary to the U.S. or not is down to Bajwa. It is up to him to decide if he wants to buck the trend or uphold the legacy of General Ayub, General Zia and General Musharraf.

Most the people killed in the wars are killed by terrorists and militias from the native lands.

Once democracy is established, these nations become the best friends with USA.

Japan/Korea/Vietnam are all good friends of USA even though they fought bitter wars with USA.

I hope no life is lost in the future. Democracy and secularism must prevail.

If what you say happens, how?

The answer lies in the part of my post that you did not bold.

If the U.S. goes to war with Iran, they would need a base in Balochistan. The GHQ will have two choices: either to follow the footsteps of the previous military chiefs and offer their services to the U.S. in exchange of aid and military equipment or to create history by telling the U.S. that for once, Pakistan will not fight their war.

The complication for Pakistan is that our other master, China, is not going to be happy at all with the U.S. penetrating Balochistan. If the Chinese factor did not exist, Pakistan would not have wasted any time in opening its doors for the U.S. as per the norm. However, now, it is a challenge for us to keep both China and U.S. happy.

The temptation will obviously be very strong because the U.S. would flash USD and shiny equipment in our eyes. We received plenty of aid under General Ayub that was used to artificially boost the economy, while during the Soviet Afghan invasion we agreed to partake in the destruction of the social fabric of Afghanistan in exchange for F-16s.

Moreover, it also makes the military richer and more powerful and the top brass get more perks and bigger shares of the pies. If U.S. establishes a base in Balochistan, the amount of pressure that our armed forces exert on the puppet civilian government would only increase.

I was beginning to think rohl dahl 's story books were history, then pops mamoon!, loool

Thanks. I think after Mushy joined the war of terror and the aftermath Pakistan faced, they wont be entertaining Americans for a long time now.

Pakistan can help end American hegemony by giving other nations the ability to have their own nukes. Yanks will not attack a nuclear armed power, they are the strongest in the world but one of the least bravest armies in history.

I would still take US waging these sort of wars over another undisputed world power like Russia or China.. compared to those two countries the US is an angel

Not sure China will be like the US but this is in the future.

You mean the same China who has concentration camps for millions of Muslims?

They just don't the power, influence and reach yet to do what America does.

It is human nature and will not end in the foreseeable future, just the names of the culprits will change.

Having camps or prisons is not the same as what America does lol. Heard of Gitmo? US is at war right now with Iran(for one), China is not at war with any other nation.

Pak should follow these steps:

1. Stay away from USA's geopolitics and strictly mind our own business.

2. Focus on economy and welfare of our people.

3. Have nuclear bombs. Secure them, And don't use them.

4. Don't be a greedy traitor and don't sell upcoming generations' future for some dollars and weapons.

Stop twisting facts. Guantanamo prison has held 779 prisoners to this day only and they were kept for war crimes. None in their right mind can compare it to the concentration camps in China holding a million of its Muslim civilians.

Yes, state terrorism that:

1. Saved Afghanistan from Russia
2. Saved Kuwait from Iraq
3. Saved Bosnia
4. Destroyed terrorist organization Al-Qaeda after they killed 2k+ Americans on American soil

Gitmo is one example in a decades long policy of illegal detention and illegal rendition.

China hasn't flown around the world bombing women and children, there is no comparison. Only a supporter of Israel would come with such an idiotic suggestion China is bigger state terrorist than the US.

US>Israel>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Others....

The world needs to find an end to this. Once US is no longer the power it is, Israel todaywill be part of the history books and the world will be better off.

Not going to happen in our life time. US is the leader of the world in everything you can imagine.

USA is the greatest nation that the world has ever seen. Nothing comes close to it.

Persians, Romans, British and the rest thought the same. US will be one of the shortest empires in history.

Surely Hindutva India is the greatest nation. You are here daily to help Modi and co.

Modern empires face a lot of scrutiny within, even China next in line will never conquer lands, thats a thing if past its about remaining most influential and top economically.

In older empires land conquests were considered brave and celebrated its not the case anymore , so its apples and oranges.

Soon as USA flashes some dollars towards Pakistan you will be singing a different tune.

That’s why China gets a clean chit despite the atrocities they are committing against uighur muslims.

The Americans replaced the British in invading other nations to exploit their people and resources, and China will soon replace the Americans.

It’s a never-ending cycle.

no they did not replace the brits and nor will china replace them, there is no cycle.

Did you really think that the people you call americans are different to the people who ran the british empire, nazi germany, roman empire???, egyption pharohs?, Babylonian, greek civilisations.

Its the same people moving and changing face, we have been ruled by them for atleast 8000 years and probably even before then in parts of the history they completely deleted like the great flood and lost kingdom of atlantis.

I think there is a lot of truth in this. The same symbols used by the Yanks were used by old empires thousands of years ago. The same evil has moved around from the times of ancient Egypt to the current power in Washington.

The endless wars will end if there's a political cost to starting these wars of aggression.

However, George W Bush launched the 2003 Iraq War on a pack of lies and still won reelection. Nixon won reelection by a landslide in 1972 against an anti-Vietnam War candidate. Even Trump looks likely to win again in November. Why ?

Many Americans simply don't care about foreign policy and the impact of their government's actions on the wider world, certainly not most GOP voters. Some have never travelled outside the country or could even locate Iran or Iraq on a map. And what they do know comes from television news that parrots the government narrative, or distorts the truth beyond all recognition like Fox News and other right-wing media outlets.

Furthermore, given the legalised corruption that is America's campaign finance system, pro-war politicians are bankrolled heavily by defence contractors and can easily outspend their opponents in an election.

The old empires were great in man power. Now its not about numbers. Its about the Technology and science and nothing beats USA and hence its the greatest nation ever.

India is not even a big player on the world scene yet. It is a wannabe and it becoming a world player is still a few decades away. Even then India will not catch up to USA.

Islamic countries are so far behind the West in technology and know how that it is not even funny. They can only make empty threats and create a bit of nuisance here and there at best.

First of all I did not call China terrorist state. You are putting words in my mouth. I pointed out the fact that China has concentration camps for its Muslim citizens.

Second, China cannot be compared to the US. China is a selfish country looking after its own interest. It is the same country which devotes half of its foreign aid to North Korea. Taiwanese constantly live under the fear of unification with China. Human rights mean nothing in China where despite its fast-growing wealth, millions remain poor.

America is an undisputed world leader and thus it has been far more influential and active in world affairs. Last time I checked the the largest number of Iranian expats are living in the US and not China. The same is almost true for immigrants from other countries.

Anyone who supports China over America cannot be taken seriously.

People fail to realize the contribution the US has made to this world. The same Internet they use to bash American was invented in America and so are 90% of the things they use every single day.

No other empire was as welcoming and accommodating to the immigrants as America has been.

And the US isn't selfish? I'm sure the US invaded Iraq, Syria and Vietnam for pure humanitarian reasons, right?

As for poverty, what's your opinion on the US shrinking middle class while the rich is getting richer?

USA only wants/wanted to bring secularism and democracy to the Middle East and Asia.

Asia and Middle East are stuck in tyranny and barbarian laws with pathetic rulers. It only makes sense for a civilized nation like USA to show them the light of democracy/secularism/Free speech.

God Bless USA.

Why should the Western way of life be enforced on the Middle East? Is the Western way of life the only correct way to live?

We are talking of state terrorism not Hollywood or McDonalds. Of course the standard of life is better in America for the average Joe but this is not the topic.

China hasn't been bombing children around the world for decades as the US has. There is no comparison with US state terrorism with any other nation in the world. Don't confuse yourself on the topic subject.

The US is far too strong. No country can take it on directly. However, what has changed in recent times is that they are finding it harder to get their way and can no longer steamroll countries. Europeans allys seem distant too and wont fully support US policy as it did previously.

If Americans keep pursuing wholly military solutions they will unfortunately start to loss military personnel in the process. How much of this will the domestic population be able to cope with? This may require them to soften their approach.

Also if they are fearful of countries falling into the Chinese & Russian sphere and may resort to using monetary coercion instead of military to stop countries drifting that way.

Ultimately a softer american empire will be far better for the world than a russian or chinese empire.

USA does have weaknesses, mainly their public(most) who have enjoyed a lifestyle of luxury for decades. They are really in no mood for war and esp in no mood for their life to change in a negative way. USA has the most debt(external) in the world. Sending it bankrupt is the only way at present but this will mean the whole planet will suffer in this paper money global economy, so unlikely to happen. The problem is the US is very greedy along with being a lacky of Israel, this will be their downfall when they go to war on behalf of Israel.
