I retire from International Cricket too...lol wait I don't play it and neither has Abdur Rahman been playing for a long time, and neither was he in contention or going ro be picked again. So really he didn't need to announce as it's not relevant.

Anyway, having said the above well done to him for the contribution to Pakistan cricket. He has been a good player when he got his chances. Best wished to him for whatever he decides to do next.

Thanks especailly for those great memories in helping thrash England in the desert few years back.

He should have played more for Pakistan in the last 4 years. Am shocked he was ignored

He was ignored, despite performing well. He was ignored because zulfiqar babar had a good odi series vs west indies. Zulfi was pathetic in tests.

LOL one thing can be rest assured. Rehman would not go wicket less against the WI in the UAE

Retiring from international cricket at the peak, vacuum created by this retirement will be hard to fill in. International cricket will not be the same after him. :dw

When Misbah took over as captain, Ajmal wasn't performing that great in test matches. Abdur Rehman immediately became Misbah's main spinner initially.

Abdur Rehman's most positive thing about his bowling was his accuracy. All he would had to do was bowl in the patches consistently and they would do the work for him.

Great bowler, but his drug usage destroyed his career. He lacked fitness.

but let me tell you, this guy could still easily walk into any team in the world that isn't south asian.

Such a shock and sad announcement He still had so much to offer the team even though hes not been part of it for years

Sorry to see him go at this young age of 38

The guy got unfairly discarded after running into a red hot Sangakkara in 2014. Even Ajmal struggled in that series

Decent spinner for us. Was pivotal in the 2012 England series.

Did a very good job for us. Hope we can find someone like him who can support a main spinner. This guy knew how to keep things tight.

Thanks for the service.

His career pretty much was over after bowling two head height no balls in the Asia cup I think. The implications were obvious

Abdur Rehman took 8 wickets for 70 runs in in a FC match today.

Indulging in a bit of exotic tobacco while he was in Somerset sped up his downfall in the Pak team, thanks for the memories against England tho.

Abdul Rahman has taken 14 wickets against Karachi whites region in QAE 4 day game playing for HBL. 8/70 in 1st Innings and 6/50 in 2nd innings.
HBL won by 9 wickets.

Two unidentified culprits on Friday reportedly looted the former Pakistani left-arm spinner, Abdur Rehman, from his doorstep in Lahore, ARY News reported.

The police officials revealed that the former cricketer, Abdur Rehman, filed a First Investigation Report (FIR) in Nawab Town police station.

As per the FIR text, the complainant claimed that two unidentified robbers took away cash including $1,000, Rs 25,000, and debit card from his possession.

Meanwhile, the police claimed to have established teams to arrest the culprits.

Last year, a robbery was reported at former cricketer Mohammad Hafeez’s house here late Sunday.

According to the details, the intruders stormed into the cricketer’s house from the rare entrance before breaking into the former cricketer’s room to steal foreign currency, worth millions of rupees.

Following the unfortunate incident, the uncle of Hafeez’s wife lodged First Information Report (FIR) at the Defence Police Station.

As per the FIR, the robbers looted foreign currency – 20,000 US Dollars, 4,000 Pounds, 3,000 Euros and 5,000 AED – alongside the cricketer’s wife’s jewellery.

Former cricketer Abdul Rehman has been appointed as the new spin bowling coach of the Pakistan cricket team but i dont think he has that much ability coach an international side.

Noman Ali, during a media interaction ahead of the 1st Test against the West Indies, spoke about the new spin bowling coach, Abdur Rehman:

"Abdur Rehman bhai has vast experience and a remarkable career for Pakistan and in first-class cricket. We try to learn as much as possible from him and benefit from his experience."
