In my opinion this is probably one of the best ever ads to come out of Pakistan, finally someone creative in our media departments has come out with something not so cringe worthy

.

Hahaha absolute shocker! Why does it shock you when you set such low standards yourself. Jazz TV? Is that even a channel in Pakistan? Whereas Star Sports is the main sponsor channel and has gone way below. Pakistan should keep it classy not fall down to their level. Let the players ask them after the match about the tea. Leave the cheapness to The Indians, it's cringey.

I dont think so its an add on a TV channel its made by a YouTube channel. Though OP can confirm.

Lol! Some people get pumped up so easily. For this ad they really needed an ex army officer a defence expert to comment? :murali

I think its the Jazz/Mobilink telecommunication company launching Jazz TV mobile app, its not a TV channel.

Dont mean to be the debbie downer but i think that add was in poor taste.

That situation is too serious to be making fun of.

Niether is it good to be humilating a prisoner of war.

If it was reversed we would be annoyed and righlty so

Abhinandan’s Capture Mocked in Pakistani Ad For World Cup Clash Against India

Broadcaster advertisements for matches between India and Pakistan have always bordered on the xenophobic, but the latest advert released in Pakistan to build up hype for the World Cup clash between the two neighbours on June 16 has stooped to a new low.

Mimicking the video released of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman by Pakistani military after he was captured a day after the Balakot airstrike, the ad by Pakistan's Jazz TV shows a model made to look like the IAF officer with his trademark mustache in a Blue Jersey answering questions on camera.

The lookalike, used as a prop, repeats Abhinandan’s viral statement “I’m sorry, I am not supposed to tell you this” in the ad several times as he is asked questions related to India’s playing XI and the team’s strategy if it wins the toss.

He also sips tea from a cup as the scene serves as a reminder of the intense questioning and severe beatings the Wing Commander was subjected to in captivity.

While the Wing Commander was stoic and calm in the video released by the Pakistani military, he is shown frightened and jumpy in the World Cup ad.

Don't dish it if you can't take it.

This is alot better than the filth your tv channels have been spewing.

Pathetic from both countries.

Let the bat and ball talk not ads.

and there was no reason to stoop to that idiocy

Jazz took the bait

Whilst I condemn this, I must reiterate that Pakistan and their media for quite some time have been ‘responding’ rather than provoking unlike their neighbours.

Yup.. that's true... I can't believe they made it a breaking news and arranged a 30 min program for it....:rp:rp

i agree, and that was the best approach

the issue is that this will get a lot of media coverage as you dont need to understand hinda/urdu to understand this add.

Its not like the other adds were getting broader coverage. Just makes us look bad

Xenophobic? How?

Also, this comes after the Indian ad.

Personally I find it hilarious, your country's fault of invading sovereign airspace.

I am not even sure if its a TV ad or a YouTube based but the one from India was supposedly from one of their biggest media groups.

I'm not too sure what to say but I do feel that whenever India mocks us it's completely fine but whenever Pakistan decides to do the same (since it was India's fault that they brought planes over to our side for selfish political voting purposes) then it's as if the world is ending. Don't start anything against anyone if you cannot receive anything back (this only applies to the idiots that trigger these kind of stuff since not everyone is like that).

Well at least they didnt abuse any mothers in this ad by saying the baap beta stuff. This is a response and more factual in nature. And lets be honest, its just a youtube ad.

I watched this ad last night in a room which had 1 die hard Indian fan, 1 casual Indian fan, and a couple of Pakistani fans....

....at the end everyone was laughing their heads off.

People on here need to chill out

This is atleast 10 times more insulting than that baap beta add.
But yeah its ok, we started it.

BTW Star Sports is an official broadcaster, Jazz is just a company looking for some attention. Big difference.

Lol...pretty well made, much better than that baap-beta crap (way more offensive).

Well India started it all and have absolutely no reasons to complain.

Although it would have been much better if these things are left out of sports (by both sides obviously)

Pakistanis could have a few decent chants at the game against India. e g. Tea is fantastic. Don't worry about being outnumbered.

I remember 2011 WC semi, we had a watch party in our uni. Pakistanis were outnumbered 5:1 with the Indians. Yet we had dozens of chants and were constantly going at it while Indians only had Indiaaa Indiaa so boring. Indians are lucky they won otherwise that day could have been embarrassing for them.

And it's not even a TV ad.

Yeah, come to think of it, might just be a social media thing or maybe even a fan-made production. Haven't seen it anywhere on TV though.

The meltdown from Indian media has been interesting though.

i thought the ad was quite good without having to use derogatory words.

hey, the indians started with mauka mauka, if they cant take the banter, they shouldnt have started it in the first place.

lovely ad
now we will destroy india on 16th june
Only rain can save india from phainty.

I arranged a party at our family restaurant and there was only one Indian out of the 50 there. He was quiet the whole time but needless to say had the last laugh. Funny thing about Pakistani's is that they'll keep chanting and throwing banter even when Pakistan are playing horribly. At the Windies game there was a lot of funny banter, if only the game had lasted a bit longer.

In bad taste.

Making fun of POWs is not on.

I haven't seen any Indian ads about Pakistan and don't plan to do so any time soon. But Pakistan should keep the wonderful humor and equinamity they have displayed in the last few months. No need to lose it over silly TRPs.

I don’t understand one thing. Why Indians consider him a hero, he lost the plane, got captured, I think we all can feel for him as a soldier, but how is he a hero?

Every soldier who puts his life on the line for his country is a hero, regardless of his failures in the mission.

Only thing here is do Pakistanis think there is no brown guy in their country?

What's bad about that??
He's dark brown in real life and the character is supposed to be realistic.

He is not really dark brown. He is lighter than many of the players in Pakistani squad.

Clearly just because Abhinandan is South Indian, the actors face was blackened. Shameful.

Many Pakistanis are darker than Abhinandan. I guess if they want to depict those guys on tv, they have to blacken the face of the actor.

This actually puts more pressure on pakistan.India actually have a team that can afford to back up its stupid media most of the time, not sure pakistan does.Miracles and upsets dont happen very often.
That said the loss of dhawan gives pak much greater chance than they had before.

Why would this add from an unknown company put pressure on us. The players probably don’t even know about it

So the same guys who were laughing on those stupid star sports ad and asking pakistanis to take it as a joke are crying themselves now. If you are going to throw mud at them don't expect flowers from them.

To me both ads are childish but Pakistani one was not made by a TV channel. You can find 100s of ads like these on youtube. :inti

That's a youtube channel "Nashpati Digital" that guy is a comedian. Once again that's not an TV ad.

Very poor, Have not seen it but how can you make such thing based in captured pilot, I am agaisntbthat,
