Damn still better than Imam.
Are we talking about the same Imam who saved us from a humiliation against Ireland in the swinging conditions of Malahide?

Azhar Ali playing a poor innings. Strike rate of 81 (40 off 49 balls at the moment) when given a target of 350+ to chase, equating to a team strike rate required of 115-120, yet some posters were going bhangra over his last couple of innings and one of them came up with gem "Damn still better than Imam".
Yes it's his fault when his team is 5 down.
You should know better than anyone, how the Pakistan ODI side suffered with Misbah's batting (let alone his woeful captaincy).
Azhar Ali is playing a typical Misbah innings - bat at a sedate pace, show no intent and let other batsmen take all the risk. When the chase is beyond repair, then start playing your shots.
Misbah trained his successor Azhar Ali well.

Took 5-34 with the ball to lead Somerset to victory vs Worcestershire today in the Royal London One day cup.
Started his career as a legspinner, if i recall
I believe so. He actually has decent List A bowling stats. 4 five wicket hauls in his career.
Sooner or later - question will be asked about Azhar Ali's magical inclusion in the WC squad![]()
