One or two good performances and suddenly everyone starts saying that he should get a chance in the national team?
Why?
Has he performed consistently like this over the course of 3 seasons? If not, then one or two performances should be taken as fluke and nothing else.
Faheem Ashraf plays a couple of innings at 200 SR and again people start thinking of having him again in the team. We have seen Faheem in international cricket where he would be a bonafide number 10 batsman in major teams.
We are very quick to elevate someone or pull him down. Consistency needs to be rewarded, not one off performances.
If any of our players played like how Sanju Samson did in his first two innings at Sharjah, he would be in the Pakistan team for sure. But Samson never gets a run in the Indian team because he's diabolical in consistency for Indian standards.
We need to control our emotions and ignore such one off performances. Let Danish Aziz continue to score like this for a good 3 years before even considering him.
