Fluke or no fluke....180 run victory in a cup final is anhilation, you have to wait to face Pakistan in a ICC cup final to avenge that defeat! it may never ever happen, you may never get the 'mauka'. Fact remains, Indian cricket arrogance was buried alive at the oval last year, it will haunt and traumatise indian players and fans forever!!

Nah, we do not need to avenge any loss. You played well on the day and deserved to win. Nothing more and nothing less.

We do not need any revenge to make us feel happy. As long as India keeps performing well and and hopefully winning a few ICC tournaments, we will be satisfied. The opponent in the final does not matter.

We are coming out of the state where India Pakistan was the one cricket match to care about. Of course its a great match and is fun to watch, but that is it. We have come to a point where India goes into a every tournament as one of the favourites, so its more important to compete against the best.

Can you please name a few current cricketers of Indian team who were tweeting about surgical strikes? And lets not bring GG into this. He is as good as retired. I dont even remember when did he last play for India.

About aane do- Was it disrepect for any Pakistani player, Pakistani Army or Pakistan as a nation? All i could remember in nutshell is- Let them come. We’ll defeat them or something like that. Again that campaign was to create a hype about that series.

If you want us to grow a sportsman spirit about this stupid dancing at border then you also should take Sehwag and GG in good spirits.

As someone said above you can’t have it both ways.
The Indian team has certain players who are very, let’s say, “vocal”, about Pakistani affairs.

Like Ravindera Jadeja.

Who got whooped so hard that he was dropped from the ODI team.

I'm not referring to Sehwag, rather the comments by the comedian at Wagah border a day before the CT final.

I guess it was ok for him to say what he did. In case you've forgotten here goes - Raju Srivastav at Wagah border one day before the Champions Trophy final "After losing to India, Sarfaraz who will be there to support you. I would like to advise Pakistani people that they swiftly buy new televisions because their TV sets will be broken tomorrow"

My bad. I thought you were referring to Sehwag about his baap-beta remark which was equally cringeworthy.

We don't have to wait for anything, lol at avenge, pakistani team is not a priority for India,Pakistan is a low ranked team, even kenya beat us at our home in the 90s, doesn't mean we'll go out waiting to avenge them lol :uakmal

Thats what you say, but what you dont realise that the truth is far from it. Making sure that Pakistan cricket doesnt prosper is BCCI and GOI's priority. Making sure that India plays Pakistan in ICC tournament's is their priority. Your fans keep a regular check on our team's progress. Your fans keep regular checks on batsmen, SPinners or fast bowlers that emerge from our team.

You can claim to not care as much as you like, the fact is that Indian dominance relies heavily on the ousting of Pakistani cricket and your government makes this the number one priority.

And the best is Pakistan, because nobody can truly claim they are the worst. Its Pakistan that turns up on its day and humbles the biggest giants through crushing defeats.

Sehwag is just a wind-up merchant.

I've met him a few times and he's ok. He has a respect for Pakistan cricket and cricketers, but he likes to show a different side in public.

In addition. India can act all tough and sporty if they beat England or Australia next year in the wc final at lords...But deep down they will know that this is not what victory should taste like, beating a true arch nemesis in the final is what matters, and you guys choked that the last time!

lol so if pakistani team isn't good enough to reach the finals and India wins the world cup then we will not taste victory? :)) lol what delusion :))

Yes. No delusion, you got whooped when it mattered.

To all Pak fans , a serious question

Dont you guys think Hasan's celebration is becoming very boring? I know it is his trademark but still
Honestly, it is.

I want him to reserve it for the big wickets and it becomes that much satisfying and adrenaline pumping.

Congratulations on winning confederation cup. When are you gonna win real thing WC ?

yeah im sure we will if its hosted in Pakistan.

We probably will in England also. India needs it to be hosted in India.

Of course, its one of the best and not THE best. But beating Pakistan is not the be all, end all.

Our aim is not to win against Pakistan only, but to win the tournament.

As I said, at the CT final, the better team on the day won. That is sports. Its nothing to be taken personally or be hurt.

Yep we will remember how that song turned from Mauka to another hindi word starting with the letter T after what happened at the oval last year.

I bet the Indians are looking for a muaka to get revenge for what Hassan Ali just did

CT is not world cup,we also won that in 2016 and no one cared that much in India may be its big deal in Pakistan.

But why mauka mauka, some stupid ad in a private TV channel rattles you guys so much?

LOL Expectations??? It was a major cup fina! The team that reached the final got there because they manhandled two giant teams in the process (England and South Africa). What Im saying is that Indian fans and really dont have the courage to face defeat, its not about if you are used to it or not. Thank God India are not losing regularly (mainly because everything is played in India these days or on India's conditions), otherwise your fans would be burning down stadiums every week!

Can't really help someone with this level of delusion, keep living in your bubble mate, we will definitely not enjoy winning our third world cup because we couldn't beat a 6th ranked team in the final of a tournament which we have won twice :uakmal

He does not rate 1992 and 2009 WC victory because they dint beat India in those.

Uhmm no sorry. When did Shezad ever reached a level 10% close to shadab and hasan? NEVER.

Pretty sure this was the time when half of PP and even Razzaq thought Shehzad was more talented than Tendulkar at his age. His first six centuries came quicker than alot of greats, were the stats that were floated on us

2016? You mean 2013, that too by fluke, the rain, oh the rain helped Indian Co win vs Sri Lanka too. Both wins utter flukes.

There was a CT in 2016? And the bold claim that you WON it? You haven't won jack since 2013. With all the superstars in your line-up, you've managed to choke in every tournament besides the Nidahas Trophy :))

Bacchay tu kal paida hua hoga, humein na sikha.

Your last WC is 26 years ago another one may not come in next 100 years.By the way we have reinvented cricket using IPL.

Kolkata: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi on Wednesday played down pacer Hassan Ali's antics at the Attari-Wagah border during the traditional flag-lowering ceremony.

In a video uploaded on social media, the 24-year-old pacer could be seen mocking the Border Security Force (BSF) of India as he emulated the Ranger, patted his thigh and flexed his muscles at the Indian soldiers and spectators on the other side before doing his signature wicket-taking celebration step.

"Cricket teams always go to the Wagah border. Fast bowlers do what they do. I do not attribute any importance to it," Sethi said.

"I do not want to discuss, otherwise you will bring politics into it," the PCB chief said on the sidelines of the ICC's quarterly meeting.

Ali. however. was trolled on social media after the video of his antics had gone viral on the internet.

The PCB had incidentally shared pictures of Ali and his teammates visiting the border to see the ceremonial lowering of the flag.

Sethi, meanwhile, reiterated that they have a "binding contract" with the BCCI to play six bilateral series between 2015 and 2023.

The PCB is seeking USD 70 million in compensation and has initiated dispute resolution proceedings against the BCCI.

A three-member ICC panel has been entrusted with settling the dispute in a hearing in Dubai in October.

"We say it's a binding contract, let them decide whether it's a contract or not. We have challenged it. This question will be decided by the dispute resolution committee of the ICC. We will wait for the dispute resolution," Sethi told reporters.
