Response to guys who don’t think he is an ATG
This shot is a mirror image of rohit sharma's shot, in terms of stroke play i think they are quite similar, pure elegance. (not comparing them as test batsmen).
How much did he score in this innings?
Ambrose looks offended i don't think he gave up without a fight.

Which match it was. That's why OP tagged Junaids and MMHS
I think this is from Pak vs WI test match at St John's, May 25-29 2000 where last pair of WI survived 15 overs adding 20 runs.Umpires won the match for WI. Jimmy Adams was caught, was LBW and what not but Umpires simply refused to raise the finger.
This is in the same year that Ambrose retired (three months before).
So, I would take it with a grain of salt but fine form on the part of Inzi.
The only think that let inzy was down was his poor fitness and lazyiness in key moments This prevented him becoming one of the ATG because apart from that his game had everything that anybody else had
Im sure if he had his time again he couldve improved his game by that extra 5% and kicked on to become as good as the likes of tendulkar and lara were of his era
lol he averaged 17 in his last year of test cricket (10 matches). Was certainly not past it.
He retired on his own rather than being pushed out due to non performance
He was past it. It’s just he had a good series against Pakistan and the England series (his last Test series) provided some of the most bowler-friendly pitches ever seen. One Test match saw four innings in one day! Four!
Ambrose did not have the same speed he had even two years before and lost some of the bounce and zip characteristic of his bowling in earlier years.
He could have gone on but the man has too much class unlike our pathetic cricketers.
