Was second highest wicket taker in National T20 2nd XI cup last season representing with 13 wickets in 7 matches averaging 16 with economy of 7.70. Continued good form in 2nd XI this season and got promoted to SP main XI.

Bowled decent pace in his main XI debut for SP and ended with 0/33 in 4 overs when KPK scored 205/4.

In batting on his main XI debut scored 48 off 29 balls with 2 sixes and 6 fours. Already has one 50 in FC and couple of 50s in List A cricket so he can bat as well.

So overall good to see someone with noticeable pace who can bat decently down the order too.

Excellent innings today - video from PCB

Any good as a bowler?

Saw a little bit, I think pace was good and was bowling decent areas at the death. Was the most economical bowler for SP today. Overall a good debut for SP, will have too see more of him to judge better but looked decent the little I saw in bowling. Have been doing pretty well in 2nd XI and has a decent domestic record too.

Decent performance from him today.

Looks like he has some good ability which can be worked upon.

Saw his bowling today which looked very disciplined. Good movement and bowled in good areas. Keep an eye 👁 on his progress

Guy can hit well. 38* of 13 in the final in a losing cause.

So happy to see his blitz at the end. That helicopter six and upper cut of Shaheen was amazing. I put him alongside Fahedm, yamin and Amad Butt. What u reckon Titan24?

I think he surely has the potential to compete. Though Faheem and Yamin have much more 4 day batting pedigree and their stats show that but, they also have played more cricket and got more oppurtunities. Quite a few things to like about Imran, hopefully he can be recognized in domestic circuit and developed accordingly. Always handy to have a decent pacer (Didnt have the best tournument but his 2nd XI and domestic stats who can be better) who can hit the ball well in domestic circuit. He is 23, hopefully gets oppurtunities in other formats as well as possibly PSL.

He is a t20 journeyman, not more than that from the little I have seen of him.

Needs to stop bowling and aim for a higher batting slot. His bowling is not of international class but there's potential in his batting. The best he can deliver from his bowling is two overs in the middle in a T20 if spinners aren't working well and then bat at 5/6 and bat fearlessly. I say so because his batting isn't about wild slogs and that's something that's very rare to see from a batsman playing that low in the order.

Batting looks as if it has something about it, but his bowling needs a lot of work before it can be classed as decent.

Potential is there, but he needs a lot of coaching and things fixing regarding his bowling action.

He was smacking the ball to all parts at the end, makes me wonder why he didn't come in earlier for SP.

Yes even his bowling reaches fahim ashraf or ammir yamin level i would have him in one day format..although he did bowl well just last two matches.

Hes not good enough to bowl more than 2 overs or 5 overs in odis but his batting is good

He should work on his batting. There is unbelievable potential there to be a power hitter.

His bowling could be a bonus. Needs to be called up and work needs to be done with good coaches that enable him to play his natural game and improve on it. No changes to anything he does right now because there is a fantastic cricketer there somewhere

So he's been around for 5 years, but only played 16 first class matches, 35 List A and 24 T20s.

He hasn't played a List A or first class match for 2 years.

That's not a lot of cricket

Very impressive hitting , great bat swing natural hitter would love to have seen him ,along with a few others ,given a chance vs the Zimbabweans but we need a selector with balls to do that..

Muhammad Imran 6-106 for Southern Punjab vs Balochistan.

What's the reason behind this? He wasn't good enough, or the usual favorites getting picked and he has no connections?

I think previous domestic system with departments had possibly more politics, favoritism and sometimes lack of talent recognition than many realize.

Selected by Peshawar Zalmi as replacement for Hassan Ali in the eliminator. Big opportunity for him.

Got a bit over-excited when he was batting against Wiese, but he looked confident and played some nice shots.

Now he's taken a wicket with his first ball.

Hopefully he continues to develop. Pakistan need a pace bowling allrounder.

So far bowling very well.

Skiddy medium pacer who bowls wicket to wicket.

Not very tall, but seems to bowl in the right areas.

His lack of pace could be a problem for him though.

Decent cricketer. He got out early but you could tell he is a good striker of the ball.

I hope he plays next PSL. He look a good all rounder prospect. Power hitter and decent pacer

Played a good shot first up, then a brainless one a couple of balls later. Just take it easy. No need for such ridiculous extravagance.

Hopefully, he plays more going forward. Looks decent and you can count the available pace-bowling (pseudo) ARs on one hand, probably.

100* today in Round 5 of QeA20 for SP

Surely has some potential with bat as he showed in National T20 Cup as well but this knock in QAE shows decent enough technique too. In his bowling I think with a few adjustments he can be possibly a consistent 135kph plus pacer rather than early 130s and few deliveries going into mid 130s.

Issue being is that these things with adjustments to his bowling should have been done a while ago as he is probably around 26-27 right now. Not having the right coaching and expert technical coaches and setup for that. Batting wise though ability is there and with some good work it can be enhanced.

I agree. Thing is he had to start his career and spend initial few years in previous domestic setup where there was too much focus on quantity rather than working on the overall development of players with potential. He is officially 23-24, so there is sometime for him to work on his bowling further. His bowling is pretty decent when we see in combination with his batting potential. Was really good in 2nd XI T20 tournament last season and to be honest made the SP’s main team mainly based upon his bowling performances.

From PCB Report:

Centuries by Salman Ali Agha and Muhammad Imran lifted Southern Punjab to an imposing 527 for seven in 134 overs in the ongoing Punjab Derby at the UBL Sports Complex. Southern Punjab resumed the day’s play at 272 for five.

Salman and Imran resumed their innings on 62 and three, respectively, and went on to stitch 187-run stand for the sixth wicket which further pushed the Central Punjab bowlers on the backfoot.

Their alliance was ended with the run out of Salman, who went back to the hut after accumulating 169 runs from 183 balls. The 27-year-old smashed 21 fours and three sixes.

Imran, on the other hand, returned unbeaten on 100 as he recorded his maiden ton in first-class cricket. The 23-year-old faced 143 balls, 11 of which were dispatched to boundary.

This guy could go places.

He looks to have a lot of good things about him as a cricketer.

If he can work on his bowling and maybe get an extra yard of pace from somewhere, he could be a decent all-rounder.

From what i heard hes a very hard worker unlike alot of our other cricketers. I think this guy and shahnawaz dhani need to be backed and groomed starting with a stint in PSL

Good numbers so far in the QeA Trophy

Averaging 41.33 with the bat
9 wickets at an average of 27.88 with the ball

But according to some posters who saw him in his only PSL game, he cant bowl.
Funny how people forget that the reason he was called up to the first eleven in NT t20 was because of his bowling

Isnt this psl going to be hard to get in to a psl team with a emergence of some good young players

I thought he looked ok in the PSL considering he was a late call-up and it was the first time he was playing the PSL.

Not really because the emerging players who have played 2 seasons can't be emerging anymore plus franchises are always on look out for new talent

Can a older person picked for emerging catgeory even if he hasnt played for any psl before
