This has been a good resistance so far, however, new ball coming up in 3 overs is going to be a challenge.

Never thought I would even consider this but I might just prefer a commentary box with Ather Ali Khan, Bazid Khan and that dude Shamim Chowdhury from Bangladesh, I think?

I enjoy him getting under their skin but it's a fair point. He should be ready to go by the time a bowler is at the top of his mark. Wagner's run up isn't short like Bumrah's so he has plenty of time

So sad to see this bunch of softies. Our batters of the past would've given this nobody a piece of their minds if he said something like that.
 
Misbah and Inzi have a lot to answer for denying Fawad his rightful place in the team much earlier. Especially when we played a lot in UAE, he would have scored tons of runs.

In most cases, the best way to annoy a sledger is to give them absolutely nothing and ignore them.
 
Williamson’s a better spinner than Santner. What’s Santner’s role in this team?

If they manage to draw this game I dont mind if he "apologizes" 100 times.

It's New Zealand's match to lose if they dont win this one.

I don't disagree with that. But our guys traditionally haven't been known to ignore sledging.

Also, putting your hand up apologetically isn't really ignoring, is it? You come across as a push over
 
I don't know Santner keeps sneaking his way back into the NZ test side. Spinners should never be picked on batting ability.
 
Fawad is the man. He will suck all of this pressure in and bat all day

I am not getting my hopes too high as to what will happen by end of day however I see great character shown by these two which is refreshing to see. It's good to find good batsmen for our test team.

who knows if he plays a clinic lol. Tanvir Ahmed will be fuming lol. Next 10 overs are gonna be crucial, Pakistan need to have the comfort that Wagner probably won't bowl the rest of the day and Santner is out of the attack (Fawad would've wanted Santner to play though).
 
Much better suited to open these two are in comparison to Abid and Shan

Wagner was helping waste overs without much threat.
 
These two have shown the stomach to fight. Expecting them to save this match is asking for too much. When ur top 4 are jokers
 
Ball will jump around quite a bit while its hard. If these two can survive another 10 or 15 overs should get easier.
 
If only Pak had half decent tail we would have managed to draw easily after this performance by Rizwan and Fawad
 
Next 5 or so overs are gonna suck, but should the boys outlast them, then I fancy our chances of a draw.
