Love his signature shot.

Outrageously talented player considering how consistently he manages to pull it off.

I call it the Whirl-pull. A play on whirlpool.

Need to be patient with him. Something our thick tanks lack. Even Saeed Anwar would’ve been lost in the system as he was dropped for a pair in his first 2 games and only got a chance waaay later.

Need to give him a long rope.

We are talking about Viv and Bradman levels of talent.

I saw Matthew Wade and Tamim Iqbal playing this shot.

This is somewhere in between hook and scoop.
 
I think he is trying to play this "No Look" shot more often and getting out due to that.

There are many other ways to look cool but trying the same stupid shots and getting out each time will make you look stupid.
 
Saim Ayub didn't open for Duronto Dhaka against Sylhet Strikers in BPL 2024. He only scored 10 (13) while batting at no. 5.

Saim Ayub is a natural opening batter. I don't know why DD management sent him down the order.
 
Overhyped another talented player letting fame get to his head. Turning into another Haider Ali. If he doesn’t work hard he will be another wasted talent lost in the wilderness

MSD played it long back at New zealand lol Reactiong from simon doull was priceless at that shot. It was when Tendulkar played internationals. Then there was this shot from Washington Sundar against Lyon during Gabba test win. He slog swept him over midwicket for six. Gilly and Isa Guha were amused.
 
Saim Ayub is out to open the innings for Pakistan in the 2nd innings with Babar Azam. Wondering if it's Peshawar Zalmi or the Pakistan team.
 
Saim has now played the same number of international games as Mohammed Haris. 15. And worse Saim played 14 all in the same format with more games at his preferred position. Haris also arguably had more significant performances.

We also made the decision to back Saim over Haris I feel, who has been more neglected since Saim has started regularly playing t20s. The inclusion of Azam in the squad hasn’t helped Haris either.

I’d still back Saim. But wonder if I’d feel hard done if I was Haris right now. Who also lost his opening spot to Saim in PSL.
 
He needs to stop admiring his no look shot and knuckle down and work hard to stay in the team.

Won’t be long before he’s goes the Haider Ali route and gets discarded if he keeps playing one shot
 
Saim Ayub failed to go big again. He scored 32 (22) against New Zealand in the 3rd T20I.

 
By playing a fancy shot with 1 leg in the air dosnt make you Lara.. keep this walking wicket player for T-5 T-10 leagues

Saim will always do well when pace is offered yo him on the leg side to play this kind of shot but he will struggle on those slow pitch in west indies and may get out playing this shot because he just times it but to smash a 6 off slower ball, he has to generate power which is lacking in his batting atm.

But that shot is synonymous with lot of pak players from the past. Most frequently used by Saeed Anwar. He had a lot of wrist power.

Problem with saim is that he's trying to turn himself into a unorthodox bat, akin to de villers when he shouldn't try to become that.

Las has a good drive, good footwork and a good legside shots.

Idk why he's trying to throw his wicket way. He needs to focus on cricketing strokes rather then loft everything in a conventional manner.

He can play lofted strokes without the need to be unorthodox.
 
Saim's weakness has been exposed by the teams now and he is getting out on the same shot every game. This means that neither he is learning to improve nor the other teams are going to stop using the same delivery against him to get him out cheaply. Saim is a hack that does not work.

PCB should make a special consideration request from ICC regarding him and allow him to bat twice in every game as he is very entertaining to match but have a habit of throwing his wicket away , I hope ICC will listen and grant PCB the favor, World cricket need to batch Saim when on song.

Actually Saim took revenge for his wicket in the 1st game. The series is level. That shot was a shot of authority.

Won't be calling it a no-look shot though. He has changed the way he plays that shot. NO No-look shot anymore.
