Will there be another run out to start the collapse for Zimbabwe?

Pitch was slightly sticky to begin with but has continued to improve for batting since

Abrar wont trouble good teams. Idt his bowling is as good as we are made to believe

Posters are too impatient and volatile, Pakistan has done well and winning easy enough.

I did predict a defeat despite a good total and unfortunately sticking with it...Zimb bat all the way down i think they should chase this down unless rauf has a good spell

Saim & Agha opening the bowling is not a particularly mouth watering sight

Zim still having the confidence to play freely despite early wickets. Not getting bogged down is something our batsmen could learn from

Zimbabwe has good chance to win this match if they handle Rauf and Qasim. Abrar/Aamer are just rubbish.

Why on earth is abrar at 90 degrees taht was two catches anybody else wud have taken

Much needed rest for Rizwan it will be, his aura in T20s will be missed as the leech Agha takes over

Positives from Series

Saim Ayub the allrounder

shafiq exposed for the one more Time

faisal Akram should be persisted with

abrar is not that bad

kg 100 was encouraging so is TT

Negatives from Series

pacers still suks

Rizwan the batsman needs to improve

Agha the parasite should be booted

fielding is woeful as ever

fitness culture is in bin, crash work needed

Abrar > Faisal
Both equally rubbish. Weather people like it or not shadab provides far more than both. Both faisal and Abrar are genuine no 11 along with awful fielders. Not sure why Arafrat Minhas was selected for AUS and not here. Makes no sense.

Faisal should be shown the door as he's quite average.

Ok g he was hyped here like the next McGill
Mosy people don't have a clue about cricket here. His batting has been awful since u16 a long with his fielding and yet it's still a concern. His bowling is also quite average.

Abrar is bad broo
Cant see him winning any match for us

We need to start looking for new pacers at least blood them in and give them some experience.

I'm not sold on jamal as a bowler

And haris rauf has that tendency to get smashed.

As for spin if agha ghulam , saim who actually has potential what's the need for extra 2 spinners who are not even that good.

Why haven't sajid khan or nauman ali been given a chance in white ball cricket both in particular nauman ali are actually capable with the bat , nauman can actually play proper shots

Faisal cannot be that bad, he took quite a few wickets this series, and only bowled two or 3 expensive overs in the series, from what I can remember. I would still go for Arafat M as much better package.

I will take his hard hands and inability to rotate strike, and limited stroke play aswell as him without 4th and 6th gear if he going to post these scores
Going to score runs against Zimbabwe level quality bowling line up regularly

Post game talk of Captain Mohammad Rizwan and player of the series, Saim Ayub:

Mohammad Rizwan: It is a proud feeling. We lost the first match and the expectation from the nation is very high. But we had the confidence to bounce back. We knew we would face some pressure here, away is always difficult in terms of conditions. But as professionals, we did very well, minimized our mistakes and performed well. We decided as a team we would never look at the pitch or the conditions, it is the same for us and them. We will just look to perform as professionals. (On starting with spinners) We decided because of the weather that we would bat first, get a good total and bowl 20 overs as soon as possible to get the DLS result. This is probably the first time we've bowled 20 overs in the first hour.

Saim Ayub (Player of the Series): It was similar to the last game, the pitch was a bit slower today. We just see the ball and react, sometimes it goes outside the boundary, sometimes it goes for a catch. We just trust the process and enjoy, everything is not in our control. We try to stay in the present and enjoy each other's company.

Pakistan win ODI series after Kamran Ghulam's maiden century

Kamran Ghulam registered his maiden ODI century in the third outing of his seven-match career, helping Pakistan secure a comfortable 99-run victory over Zimbabwe on Thursday. The win gave Pakistan a come-from-behind 2-1 series triumph.

Kamran’s brilliant 103 guided Pakistan to a commanding 303 for six in 50 overs. In response, Zimbabwe was bowled out for 204 in 40.1 overs. Saim Ayub played a key role with the ball, dismissing two of Zimbabwe's top-order batters. Captain Craig Ervine was Zimbabwe’s top-scorer with 51 runs off 63 balls, including five fours and one six.

The two teams will now turn their attention to the T20I series, with matches scheduled for 1, 3 and 5 December at the same venue.

Kamran’s 103 came off 99 deliveries and included 10 fours and four sixes. He had reached his half-century off 59 balls with three fours and two sixes. Walking in at 58 for one in the 13th over, Kamran was the fourth batter dismissed at 232 in the 45th over.

He shared a 54-run partnership for the second wicket with Abdullah Shafique, who scored 50 off 68 balls, including five fours and one six. Kamran also stitched together an 89-run stand for the third wicket with Mohammad Rizwan, who contributed 37 runs.

Pakistan scored 49 runs without losing a wicket in the first PowerPlay and added 102 runs in the final 10 overs, with Salman Ali Agha scoring 30 and Tayyab Tahir remaining unbeaten on 29.

For Zimbabwe, Sikandar Raza and Richard Ngarava took two wickets each, conceding 47 and 55 runs, respectively.

Scores in brief:

Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by 99 runs, win series 2-1

Pakistan 303-6, 50 overs (Kamran Ghulam 103, Abdullah Shafique 50, Mohammad Rizwan 37, Saim Ayub 31, Salman Ali Agha 30, Tayyab Tahir 29 not out; Sikandar Raza 2-47, Richard Ngarava 2-55)

Zimbabwe 204 all-out, 40.1 overs (Craig Ervine 51, Brian Bennett 37, Sean Williams 24, Tadiwanashe Marumani 24; Aamir Jamal 2-19, Saim Ayub 2-29, Haris Rauf 2-34, Abrar Ahmed 2-45)

Player of the match – Kamran Ghulam (Pakistan)

Player of the series – Saim Ayub (Pakistan)

Kamran Ghulam, during the post-match press conference:

"Scoring a century on my Test debut against England gave me a lot of confidence, and now, achieving ODI century against Zimbabwe has further boosted my morale."

"I had toured Zimbabwe earlier with Pakistan A, so adapting to the conditions here wasn’t too difficult for me. I was already familiar with the environment. Additionally, coming off a successful ODI series win against Australia recently gave me confidence, so I didn’t feel much pressure. Rizwan Bhai [Mohammad Rizwan] supported and guided me a lot during our partnership."

"My job is to perform, and the selectors’ job is to make selection decisions. I believe in hard work and trust that Allah rewards effort. Right now, I am preparing for the Champions Trophy and the upcoming South Africa tour."

"This tour was quite different from Australia. In Australia, the pitches are bouncy, whereas in Zimbabwe, the ball tends to stay low, grip, and spin a bit. Building an innings here isn’t easy. You need to build your innings gradually while playing your natural game."

Eid Mubarak to everyone, I feel like dancing like Rizwan at the crease today

Nice to see the series win. God knows how miserable it would be here if they had lost.

What you wanted in this series was young players playing well and for the most part, we saw that. Saim/Abrar/Faisal/Kamran looked good. Sucks Irfan didn't get to bat much but I like his potential going forward. Don't think KG is the first XI when its a full squad (with Babar/Fakhar etc) but good to have some bench strength and at least, some tested bench strength who have had international experience now. Abdullah was OK and he looks so classy sometimes. The six he hit today was gorgeous but his strike rotation needs improvement. He has boundary hitting ability but to get his SR up at a good level, he needs consistent strike rotation to keep that up.

Abrar/Faisal looking like they will be part of the CT squad even if Shadab is back in the squad.
