Pakistan (303/6) defeat Zimbabwe (204) comfortably by 99 runs to clinch the 3-match ODI series by 2-1 margin

Which side will win the series decider on November 28?

  • Total voters
    7
  • Poll closed .
Now has to send Irfan Khan to maximise in the last 6 overs and not Tayyab

He took his spot by batting himself and Agha pointlessly

So a stat padding century

If you can't put 300 on the board against Zimbabwe then these personal milestones and meaningless

Don't see what saud shakeel has done to get dropped or even babar
Surely the middle order would be much better with these 2 ?

This is stupid.

Even though KG Is an accumulator he atleast makes sure he goes at a sr of 100.

Everyone else is striking at 75 to 78? Even saim today was slow?

Come on yar, in this modern era you gotta have Sr's of 89 and > to survive

I'm not the biggest fan of Tayyib but its crazy that he is batting below Rizwan and Agha.
I like tayyab. I appreciate hard workers like saud, Agha, Kamran ghulam, tayyab etc. Not a fan of how Agha has been batting in odi and t20 recently but he works hard nonetheless.

Just not a fan of lazy cricketers. Won't name them since ik you like Abdullah and such players but honestly I find them lazy man.

Talented no doubt but lazy. Imam was another, good technique and temperament but after 4 years had stubborn batting approaches, didn't listen to coaches and refused to work on the short ball or develop lofted stroke play.

Babar was another, very hard worker early on in his career. Not so much after ramiz raja came into the mix.

Abdullah has potential. He has a lot to do but we have seen in other countries when certain players are exposed to innovative captaincy, coaching they can take their game to the next level. I really believe he has the potential to do this and he hasn't played enough cricket ( particularly LOI) to be written off as quickly as many are doing. Let's see in a couple of years time if he can fulfil his potential or he becomes another Imam.

I don't dislike Tayyab, either. From what I have seen, he is a good player and should have played much more cricket had we employed a sensible rotation strategy, He just don't have a high ceiling to grow to the next level that I genuinley think players like Saud, Kamran, Abdullah and Saim can.

Pakistan will win this. They'll bundle Zimbabwe out for under 200 lol.

The main worry is what will happen when faced against India? Such scores will be chased down.

No point in scoring 230 in 45 and then trying to bash 70 in 5 overs.

Every shot Tayyab hits brings an echo of what could have been for Pakistan in 2023 WC. How his position was robbed by Chota Don

Abdullah
Saim
Kamran
Tayyab
Irfan
Rizwan
Salman

This should be the order if these players are playing. Can rotate if there is a big collapse or something

So we bat first and still don’t show signs of wanting to get 400?

Only Fakhar or Saim firing without any restraints will allow us to compete with the top teams?

Tayyab Good runner b/w wickets and excellent fielder and above all gutsy.
Not the best against good pace but easily plays ahead of Salmans and Irfanss

Tayyab huffing and puffing out there.

Yeah I noticed that too. Almost as if he’s asthmatic. Not a good look. Needs to work on his fitness because for him to be huffing puffing after running between the wickets for 25 mins… that’s embarrassing.

rizwan is clearly wasting no 4 spot from last year in ODI. Other than his match winning century in WC against Srilanka he has not donr anything to secure that position. He is very limited player

How on earth is Tayyab Tahir coming in at No.6. Ideally he should be coming in between 3-5.

I know he used to, but maybe try him as a opener again.
