[VIDEO] Third umpire fails to see ball came off the middle of the bat (LBW) "No conclusive evidence"

Saw this on Twitter, missed it live and I was like :O

ICC really need to up their standards, this is the height of incompetence.

Shocking!
Is the umpire not allowed to use his eyes?

ICC should really question this umpire and get to the bottom of it. It's such a clear inside edge that everyone in the crowd saw it on the first replay

What is the issue? Correct decision, outside the line and not out. Umpire couldn't overrule the on field decision because he couldn't see the edge. :inti

How could he not see the edge?
It was as obvious as it can get.

The problem was he went to ball tracker and if it was in line then it would have been given out and that would have been one of the most atrocious decisions ever.

Its easir to see a full(normal) speed not when you slow it down because there is some doubt and even if there is 0.1% doubt the umpire must stick with the on field decision. The on field umpire made a bigger error imo.

Who is this umpire? Shocking stuff. I saw the egde so many times and almost started doubting my decision since the third umpire could not see it lol.

Mate ball missing the bat and continuing on its trajectory would be defying physics.
It was the most blatant ball hitting bat before pad you could ever get.
The third umpire was concentrating so hard on sniko, what with the bottom of the bat hitting the ground or bit of the pad that he literally forgot to use his eyes.

I agree, 3rd umpire didn't think of the first replay. Once he went to the slowmo he was never going to overturn it. Lucky it was outside the line, England would be using it as an excuse lol.

lol, good think it was not in line. You can see that there is an edge.

I dont think the umpire was claiming ball didnt hit the bat and deviate, he thought it was so close that ball might have brushed the pad, hit the bat and went to pad again

Umpiring standards around the world are in decline.

Elite umpires are not-so-elite these days.

Ball hitting pad and then bat and then pad is out of the question.
It’s clear that ball only hit the pad once and that was after it hit the bat.
The video is so clear, even the side view angle.
