Saj speaks about the fallout from the Asia Cup, rumours of in-fighting after the Asia Cup losses, dressing room leaks and why the management are unhappy with one player, players challenging each other and how that could act as a positive, Babar Azam must be retained as captain for now and more.

Doubt their was a war tbh. These guys were chill at shaheens wedding. It's likely just drama bazi from media. Babar and his friendship 11 ain't going anywhere

Yeah good points, Saj. I like how you draw parallels with the LA Lakers.
Even the Indian dressing room is fragmented, with many of their players not liking Virat (allegedly). At the end of the day, what matters is performance.
That being said, since players not getting isn't a prerequisite to winning, that strengthens the case for Amir and Imad to make WC comebacks :)

This one player - needs to be disciplined and a precedent set.

As Saj says,

What goes on in the dressing room should stay in the dressing room

So do we accept there was trouble or are we going to pretend to whistle in the wind as if nothing happened.

And if we accept this happened then all of the people clinging on to Babar’s value as captain being the alleged “glue” (lol) need to rethink why they actually believe he should continue as captain.

His perception of the game is pathetic.

His strategies are schoolboyish - even worse actually.

He has no presence.

He shows no bravery or conviction in his approach.

His batting is on a downward spiral - so the “leading from the front” argument has fallen flat on its face too.

What does he actually provide us?

We are sleepwalking in to a World Cup with the argument that change is bad.

We did the same in 2003 and 2007 and look how that turned out.

We accept that somethings were said in a dressing room.

Guess they aren't all brainless mutes as we thought they were!?

Sure, this matter should be addressed more strictly because these things have been happening for so long now.

It shows these are players who are smart and confident and have been cooperating with each other. a little bit of skirmish here and there is unavoidable but they do get along well and like to express their views. its overall a healthy situation.

But the players who leaked it, is most likely the weak link here who out of sense of insecurity did what he did. He needs to be penalized. or cautioned or whatever. You dont throw your team mates under the bus like that.

Agree with what you discussed.

As for the captaincy point, we will be waiting for more years to win a World Cup. If the captain is not changed, we are not winning anything in this world cup

Not sure what the leak was and what the person listening to it made it into

Very difficult as there is no independent way to check

Yep agreed, all these successful teams have an edge to them, especially with each other in the dressing room. Being toxic and having cliques vs being honest and upfront, sometimes angry about performances ia big distinction.

Tough with each other in the dressing room but fighting hard together on the field is the best combination for any elite sport side.

My understanding is that players challenged each other and there were some strong discussions. But it wasn't as bad as some media is making out.

What's more concerning are the leaks.

I get what you are saying but there are only a few days to this World Cup now.

If they'd wanted to change the skipper then they should have done it sooner and not last minute.

Give him the World Cup, then assess his captaincy.

@Saj Do u have info on who this person really is..who is being suspected for leaking this?

Is it really Imam ul Haq who is being suspected by the management? If it is really Imam ul Haq..then I doubt management is in a position to take a firm action against him, so close to the world cup…as he is the only performing opener for Pak right now…

If it isnt Imam ul Haq..then management should really come out and deny it as it can affect his mental health negatively..and this shouldnt happen to one of your performing players, so close to the worldcup
