He seems to be still maintaining a strong fitness routine despite his retirement with running and jumping exercises.

Not sure how demanding the jumping is but he is running at a pretty fast pace which I am sure would be exhausting!

Definitely a source of inspiration for our younger cricketers and fitness and lifestyle!

It seems like it is resistance running which is very difficult to do for a sustained period of time!

Our most fittest player ever up until his retirement, salute him from that.

He would be rated a top tier ATG if he had a more compact technique against pacers, perhaps could have averaged 60 or less.

Nice. Always gotta appreciate people for taking care of themselves.

Hands down one of the fittest Pakistani cricketers to have played.

Probably could run circles around most players on the current team.

He did average 60 or less :13:

Nah. He was godly when it came to fitness. He isn't an average joe.

No doubt.

I meant in terms of a normal person. Also, considering he is 40+ and now a retired cricketer - it is quite impressive!

Younis Khan average in Australia - 50.64 - 6 test matches
Younis Khan average in England - 50.63 - 9 test matches
Younis Khan average in NZ - 43.00 - 7 Test matches
Younis Khan average in SA - 32.60 - 8 test matches

Don;t care about averages, we have seen him over the years, he would score a big hundred on a flat wicket after the series was lost and would not score anything in crucial games. No wonder he never helped us winning or even drawing any tests in NZ, Aust and SA. No doubt he was the king on flat Asian wickets.

Yes but you can say the same about Virat Kohli or some of the other greats playing in this era...

Its only the numbers that matter in the end, and his are phenomenal

A few of the current Pakistani players and quite a few in domestic cricket need to watch this video.

YK did not play until he was 39 due to good luck or sifarish.

Haha like Azam Khan?

Is that Tanvir Ahmed who is working out with him?

If the PCB had succumbed to his desire of becoming the Test captain, he would still be playing.

Younis Khan

Is an ATG.

Better than Chris Gayle......

How is that possible?

Gayle looks muscular and has multiple triple centuries to his name - must be fit to accomplish that. It is sad he suffers from back injuries nowadays which inhibits his fitness.

Azam is just plain obese...

Saj was referring to Quetta Gladiator's owner Nadeem Omar saying that after watching Azam Khan bat people will forget Chris Gayle

Have you forgotten Port Elizabeth Test in 2007 and 2nd Test against New Zealand in 2011? He used to be really good against pace as well until last 3 years of his career. Considering his age, regardless of how fit you are, your reflexes are bound to get slower. His technique was fine against pacers.

This guy is forever young or what?!

What a legend YK!

Inspiring stuff.

And yep, if he could still play in most XIs of this year

My reference was to Azam Khan........
